I foolishly splashed out on a motor upgrade for my mini lathe yesterday.
A 1HP brushless Sewing machine motor and controller. I got it because it has more torque down the slow end.
I will tuck it away for when the existing motor turns its toes up I think (no point poking the bear just yet).
