, the three turns which I took it out and then returned this morning did it with no need for further tweeks, so I must have measured it up right first time, for once.
Then I had a stroke of genius.
It came with Nylocs as usual and we all know you shouldn't reuse them so, rather than feck about trying to find a lock washer that big in my ever shrinking collection of washers, I simply took the old Nyloc and used it as a lock nut! Also, it covers the thread so less chance of rust getting to it.
Now why have I never thought of doing this before?
Wondering if the rain will hold off long enough for me to be able to refelt the shed. Tis tiny but still, when will it actooly rain?
