thks mate and indeed thinking of moving , rent wise I see an average 1-2 bed house is around £850 per month, plus of course all the advance rent and deposits, do like the isle of purbeck , but see prices as u also mention are higher

that’s why I thought if I move say around 30 x minutes from the coast it’s certainly cheaper

ideally something like a house in the middle of nowhere would suit me down to the ground , also want a garage , would be perfect then for a place I can store all my tools

don’t think I’ll be able to move for around 18 x months as I’ve got to save up along with bagging and sorting this place out , kids are no miles away so I thought why not do something for myself for a change , fresh start and all that

hopefully something will turn up when I’m ready , think I may have problems because I’m on benefits and also want to get a place that will accept a dog, be it a small one as really like the company of a dog , candy is 15 x this year and doing well

know it will rip me apart when she’s gone , even the thought of it brings me to tears as she’s been such a brilliant support for me

sorry waffling again , lol, thks again and heard the dates are supposed to me extremely nice , if u need a house sitter for ur dorset residence I’ll get my suit case, lol
Renting is never easy, I speak from both sides of the rental agreement!
We did once rent to a lady on benefits, with a biggish family, it was fine as we got the rent straight from the council. But she was OK so I doubt she'd have spent her rent money on booze and fags!
But you may need to know that Dorset has always been one of the councils right at the bottom of the list when it comes to it having money.

Low funded yet high cost in council tax, compared to others. (Don't we know it!)
Glad to hear your doggy is still going on OK!:):):) Wifey often mentions you, re this, and wonders if you have managed to find a rescue or something especially as there are supposed to be so many around at the mo, what with Covid and everything.

Afternoon all, early finish for me again the weather turned on us so tools down.
Tis a bitter north wind. Kippers for lunch then im off out to do man stuff in the shed
I might even do a bit on the landy project. :)

My back is easing up, still a bit stiff im using a back brace which helps tis good to get
out an do a bit. :):)
Nice to hear you have a bit of time off and away from Jughead, or whatever his name is. It can't be fun working with him again.:(
Glad to hear the back is easing off. I keep meaning to get a back brace, I did have one but it fastened with a buckle and the holes were never in the right position. I have seen Frogs wearing really good ones so I wish I could find one. Maybe you could tell me the make. I take it it fastens with Velcro? Tis what I need.
I expect you'll be spending a bit of time playing with Sorchia. ;););)
Why not, puppies are such a wonderful waste of time!:):):)

if you'd said this back in the days when we were still working and doggy passports were not available we'd have snapped your hand off. :):):)

Ah double and treble drat , lol, must admit really am looking forward to having a fresh start so to speak, I’m 56 on the 24th of this month so will be awesome to spend my older years down in dorset , don’t see anyone for days

get all my food shopping delivered and chemist also deliver my meds for me , so see someone once a month but that’s it , so think that’s why candy and I have such a fantastic bond , she hates it when I go into the bathroom , sits outside whining as hates to be separated from me even for 5-10 minutes

Aye I was a bit pizzed off with him yesterday but I just try to put it to the side & get on with it.
The back brace is a Velcro one from precision orthopaedics its a double pull thing. I got it off
a mate of mine im unsure where he bought it. I can take a couple of pics later on so you know
what it looks like. Wasting time playing with the pup is ace she is so comical, jumps about like
a spring lamb.:D

....so. Finally made an appointment with the Cjhiropractic college, for next week.
It is easing up a bit but I need to get on with stuff.
Decided to do "indoor" work today as it was raining, now just gone grey.:(
So cleared a load of wine off the top of a cabinet in the utility room.
Wine we knew had gone off some time ago, so all had to be opened and poured away. :(:(:(
Just eaten some Not Cross Bums. Wifey picked them up when she went to Marks and Sparks and cleared their shelf of gluten free Petits Pains aux Raisins. She said "They've just removed the mince pies and put the H X Buns out instead."
It isn't even February yet.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Sun's just come out!
But I have a bucket of sugar soap mixture awaiting my attention.:(
Enjoy the rest of the day folks!:):):)

Our three dogs follow Wifey around everywhere, the youngest even into the bog.
It is sweet the way they check up on us. But dangerous sometimes, Wifey went flying not long after her hip operation, tripping over a dog in the utility room in France. not only them but their toys are always all over the place. You have to keep looking where you are going!
But we are and were so happy when pet passports came in, up till then we had to have a lady come and stay for two weeks. She was OK, a posh ex-farmer's wife who had fallen on hard times when her husband died, unbeknownst to her, in deep debt. It was so hard to find a decent person.
Can't say people in Dorset are that friendly, they are OK but it can be hard work to make friends. Prolly better not where we live, i.e. further out. The more countryfied the better as opposed to gentrified where the neighbours spend their time trying to outdo one another!
Do hope you manage to find somewhere.;)

So nice building the bond!:):):)
Loads a cuddles!

bless u for the info , indeed whilst on benefits still have to pay a percentage of rent, council tax etc , currently as I’m in social housing have an extra room so have to pay the bedroom tax on top

so with private renting I won’t have to pay bedroom tax, I would like to get a 2 x bedroom , garage , reasonable sized garden , accept pets and benefits , think now it’s not as much of a restriction like it used to be, just hope they don’t ask for a guarantor , do have a clean renting record of 12 x years so that should stand me in good stead , indeed will to the same of getting the money paid directly to the landlord

expect they will ask for character references seeing i no longer work , alas though think that will be an issue as I don’t have any friends anymore that use to pop round, they've all moved to far away now , so indeed Billy no mates, lol

plus I wonder how many here live in the county of dorset as would be fantastic to then meet up for some greenlaning or pub lunches etc

think this is the latest pics I have of candy , she does like her cuddles in the evening , she won’t stop whining if I don’t let her up, lol , won’t get another dog now because of me moving , so will stick with just the one , have seen many renting rules that they accept a small dog so if that’s the case more than likely get something like another bichon , plus they don’t shed like a lab does

did see a lovely bungalow as that would be perfect in not having to worry about stairs , as I grow older I’ve been warned my back will get worse

Thks so much once again few piccies for SWMBO :):), think candy is 15 in April, will have to double check
