Well thanks for that, maybe I misunderstood the bloke and he meant for a 3 metre length.
But anyway I'm prepared to pay it as he'll cut me a length to length, so I only pay for what I need and he isn't too far away.
If he does turn out to be that much more pricey then I'll get it from your guys.
He was the only guy I rang as he is the nearest.:(

Thats great he's giving you a length :D

Evening folks:)

Just popped out for my evening antifreeze top up and bloody ell it’s a tad chilly:eek: the sea mist was coming in when I went down to extend the hire car let’s see what the am brings.
What a palaver finding the hire car place. They are ripping up the roads for the 3rd crossing (they were talking about it before we went to BG) but they really are messing with the traffic. Can’t get to the hire car placeo_O find out they taken an office so ask a friendly native:) “in that building there mate” (points finger that way) great cheers mate:) negotiate the roadworks again and get it sorted:)
No cheap rates for long term rental:mad: not in the mood to argue about a bit of money right now.

Had a look at Mum &Dads car he has been disconnecting the battery as he suspects bad alternator. Anyway so I disconnect alternator today and leave battery connected after they came back. So will check in the am see what we have. Took pics of label goggled and circ £150-200 they can kiss my arse when diode/reg packs £25-30:)
Found the 1 good place left is still here same place so will pop see him if he can id the correct pack I need:) Got a bit of time on me hands and it will be a good excuse to get in his garage “unsupervised “:D:p

Got to go and look for a red shirt and tie. Bruv wanted a splash of colour and it was his fav :):).

Need to go out and sniff the filler cap on the rental;) I have no I deer what flavour it prefers:p:D.

Dad is more than capable of the hands on, but due to circs he didn’t want them to be without a car;) I can navigate goggle better, as I am here and have a car its not to much drama if his battery is flat in the morning.

Must say finding it more difficult speaking to my parents, my pops is virtually stone deaf and mum has advanced dementia, doesn’t recognise most of us anymore

got the landy in bits and getting stressed as want to go and see them but then push my luck with my back which means I can’t do anything for a few weeks

Alas when I use to work on our cars I had my wife who would help, even small things like sitting in the car turning ign on and off, etc , or helping when trying to do continuity tests on a wiring loom, alas kids live miles away now

however have started having a big clear out , as in the next few years want to move down to dorset , got some wonderful memories, maybe beaminster , bridport etc

well that’s me for today, lol, hope everyone is keeping safe and well

Didn't know you were thinking of moving to Dorset!
That's interesting!
We almost only live here by accident now and have often talked about moving to the Dales.
There are some lovely parts as you mention, but prices have got stupid, anywhere near the coast. North Dorset is still nice and a bit cheaper. And I think it is prettier as there, there are hills, where we live is so feckin flat!
Cheers

thks mate and indeed thinking of moving , rent wise I see an average 1-2 bed house is around £850 per month, plus of course all the advance rent and deposits, do like the isle of purbeck , but see prices as u also mention are higher

that’s why I thought if I move say around 30 x minutes from the coast it’s certainly cheaper

ideally something like a house in the middle of nowhere would suit me down to the ground , also want a garage , would be perfect then for a place I can store all my tools

don’t think I’ll be able to move for around 18 x months as I’ve got to save up along with bagging and sorting this place out , kids are no miles away so I thought why not do something for myself for a change , fresh start and all that

hopefully something will turn up when I’m ready , think I may have problems because I’m on benefits and also want to get a place that will accept a dog, be it a small one as really like the company of a dog , candy is 15 x this year and doing well

know it will rip me apart when she’s gone , even the thought of it brings me to tears as she’s been such a brilliant support for me

sorry waffling again , lol, thks again and heard the dates are supposed to me extremely nice , if u need a house sitter for ur dorset residence I’ll get my suit case, lol

Tis a bitter north wind. Kippers for lunch then im off out to do man stuff in the shed
I might even do a bit on the landy project. :)
