You are correct but with the overlocker things are very different. Without taking the whole thing apart, something which I would not do, I had no choice but to call in the expert. Strangely, it was not the electric bits or the twin needles and the upper and lower loopers but the manual wheel which would not budge - hence there was no way of moving any of the parts. I suspect it is something to do with the needles and loopers threading position that is at fault but there is no way of investigating this if the manual wheel is seized.
