It's possibly not the best thing to say but my Wickes order arrived 2 hours before scheduled I am now eating scones with strawberry jam on........Bored. Sitting round at the fixer upper
1 of 3 deliveries received, hungry, out of tea, on my own, waiting for the scarlet pimpernel to deliver my flooring
And god knows where Tuffnells have gone with the doors. I bet if I sneak to the shop they'll both turn up and card me.
Bored.
Only veeehicle that has one is the D1 Anniversary and it deices the passenger side just fine.Haven't you paupers got heated front windscreens? Even me fender has one
Wickes do Cream Tea deliveries now? It's possibly not the best thing to say but my Wickes order arrived 2 hours before scheduled I am now eating scones with strawberry jam on........
They do in Lincolnshire, obviously! The Coop also do fence panels so a good cross over in shopping.......Wickes do Cream Tea deliveries now?
I'm cancelling our Waitrose account!!!!!
Morning all, I have a delivery from Wickes coming today. Enough OSB to line the workshop walls so I can proceed with the renovation (now all the bits in the house are sorted )
I thought about.......... but the cost is too high, the OSB cost a kidney as it was!You gonna chuck some insulation behind it, you dont want those twits coming and sticking themselves to your workshop.

Cold out today. Had to scratch round the garage to find the de icer as daughter’s car was frozen. That’s the first job done, now for a cuppa.
I just fill a kettle with lukewarm water and use that, with the wipers on after the first sloosh, on intermittent.
there is usually enough to do the mirrors and the front passenger windys as well.
I always found deicer froze on the screen again, AND you have to pay for it! (Spoken like a true tite ass!)

.....only prob is it's illegal to leave a car with its engine running unattended, except if it is on private land. So if you park in the street.......You 2 are nuts, Use a cup of tea/coffee Go out start the car, then go in and make a cuppa and drink it
I can go out go start it and blip the FBH then go back for the cuppa.
I am telling you all now that a cuppa can defrost anything.

Oh I will blame you, every time! I will mutter something like 'bleedin' J and his insulation...'Dont blame me when you go to "workshop time" and its cold.

Why dunt yer just ring em if thats wot they prefer?Well our day has gone in a different direction.
Struggled the new chest, in its box upstairs to the bedroom, cut the top open only to find the centre panel on the top outside lid is mounted squew-wiff. I can get a finger tip into the crack at one end (Oooh matron!!!)
So spent a while on Oak Feckin Furnitureland's website trying to see how to complain other than ring them.
Not much chance, so I complained under "financial complaints" as we'd paid for a piece of sh!te.
Since then checked the law and was reassured that if we rejected it under the Consumer Rights Act within 30 days we get a refund, no returns charges. So a recorded delivery letter will be winging its way to Swinedon soon! Together with photos.
Never wanted to buy one from them but our lovely place in Poole, due to lockdown, wasn't open.
Now at least we should be able to go back there.
Fool burnin eater.....only prob is it's illegal to leave a car with its engine running unattended, except if it is on private land. So if you park in the street.......
Oh and then there is the case of "Why is my car being driven down the road by some scrote?"
I never had time before driving to work to go out and start it then come back in again!
And what is FBH? Something to lock the car even though the engine is running? Face Book Heating?
And what is FBH?
Ahhhhhh!Fool burnin eater
Oh I will blame you, every time! I will mutter something like 'bleedin' J and his insulation...'
Ahhhh! Its a little Fuel Burning Heater that preheats the engine wata, so with the engine on and the screen heater on 5mins and the car is toasty as F
Can even be run without the engine running. if its only a light frost then I don't even have to go out can do it from the hall window.
I also keep forgetting you have "scrotes".
J
The benefit of a fool burnin eater is yer dunt need to be wiv da car. It will work wivvoot the engine running. Timer or remote to start stop. Int gottid one on ma hippo as he hassa backup lectric eater so warm warn starts coming through quick. Eye dunt after wait ferris engine to warn up.Ahhhhhh!
Well if you start the car and leave it with the engine and heater running, it'll still be a FBH then.
I knew a bloke with a Volvo once, Danish bloke, who had a timer he could set in his car so that it would warm up before he needed to drive it in the morning.
This was back in 1976.
