Evening folks:).

Had to pop into big boy town today M had stuff to do so I went and got some stud bar washers and some dome nuts, for the project.
So we went back down the "marina" (sounds better than calling it the docks) and tried another eatery:) Very nice it was to for basic pub food:).

So basically no manual labor happened today:D. But the plan has been made for tomorrow morning as its still ot:).

No animal duties performed today, yet;).

weekends coming fast workers hope you have a plan:D.

Got a few jobs done today. Second undercoat on the garage door frame, door and frame now ready for the final coat. Clagged a bit of paint over the screw and nail heads on the dottirs garage fascias, so thats ready for a final paint coat. Cut the grass in the grounds of Wimblowdriver Towers and filled the wheelie bin. Bins oot as its bin day tomorrow. Cottage pie removed from the oven and cooling to scoff temperature. Bottle of bud at the ready, got a peaceful evening in as SWMBO has gorn out. Happy daze.

...that I indulged in another little bit of silliness today (just because we can).

With the TIG welder now out of service for the moment I decided to make a little brace for the rack to prevent the load on the rack potentially spreading the rack apart.
Normally the bottom of a rack would be bolted to the rear-wheel drop-outs and this "spreading" would not be a problem. But with this area of the rack suspended and hanging there in space there is nothing to bolt it to, so another solution had to be found.
So I got "lathe-boy" out of the cupboard where I normally keep him in his gimp-suit and he turned a section of 8mm steel bar down to 6mm at either end and threaded the ends.
Once cleaned up of all the oil & grease and slapped around with a hairy-stick and some hammerite the job was all done.
