Well 5k has arrived, on time and in budget :rolleyes:
Being retired is great but I miss the pressure of deadlines and project milestones. Setting such things and hitting them for fun is as close as I want to be in truth though.

Yes the dog has been walked and no I wasn't lurking, I shut it down so I would't be tempted :p

Last day with baby ... :( (I'll be glad of the rest when I go back to work tomorrow ...

She had an overexcited moment in the bath yesterday and slipped, I caught her but she frightened herself, cried so much she threw up ... :rolleyes::(
So, quick squish with the shower and bundled in towels, she was fine ...

Well our weather has gone feckin mad!:mad::mad::mad:
With temps up to 35 yessdi and the pool up to 25, we promised ourselves a lovely day off today after labouring a bit in this heat.
Today, thunderstorms nearby a shower or two here, cannot see even the nearest mountains for mist, outside shade temp, 22degs C but humidity, obvs, 90%:mad::mad::mad:
So no we will NOT be lying around the pool, which we have yet to dive into this year!
We have decided from now on to watch the weather forecasts a lot more closely and take our day off when it makes sense to do so rather than always a Sunday.
Still, tomorrow we are going down to the Canal du Midi for our annual celebration of our first meeting for a meal in our favourite restaurant. and contrary to up here, the weather there is forecast to be sunny all day but not too hot.
so, have a lovely day folks whatever you are doing.:):):):):)

They do have loads of little take away type shops/kiosks. but to be honest we dont really look, think most are just snackie type, slice of pizza sausage roll that sort of thing, not like a full fish & chip supper:) Although there are a couple of places that do roast chicken (whole on a spit) to take home:D
I wont tell you how cheap they are:) or how nice:D.
There are the usual Chinese and kebab place in the big boy town, mostly we just go out to eat, but we do sometimes bring home a chicken or a Chinese.

Oh nearly forgot if we have had a hard day in town and finish with a shop at Metro, we get a currywurst and have a tailgate picnic tis lovely:p.

Have to say I have not knowingly had ratonastik here:) Maybe had in some of the countries I have eaten in, in my previous live:eek::eek:.
