Two 9/16 spanners ordered off Frog Amazon. Arriving Friday.
Then the fun will start again!
Might try and find a different grease gun too.
I am such a glutton for punishment.
Wifey trimming the hair off the dog that is going to have her lady parts removed next week. She won't tolerate the clippers (she is like the princess and the pea!) so poor old Wifey is doing it all by hand. Loads of knots. She has very fine hair and Wifey will give her food she really shouldn't without holding her ears outa the way!
We really should brush all of them once a day, but, feck it, we just cut them or get them cut every so often.
We are terrible people, it is amazing the dogs love us at all!
So I guess the others will be under the clippers next week some time. If not earlier. They are beginning to suffer a bit with the heat although they are bonkers. They go out in it to "sunbathe" bearing their tummies to the sun. Mad!!!o_O

Because you said she couldn't see what was on now back in the UK or did I misunderstand your post? No matter, for those who wish to obfuscate their location for whatever reason, can do so with the use of a vpn ;)

Yep fine with that.

She come here for holiday, signs into her Netflix account and starts to watch something, She like it so decides to carry on watching back in the UK but can’t, but she could if she watches it on Amazon? With another cost of course.

Just don’t smell right to me, it’s like they are in cahoots with each other.

...that today's Tom Foolery has been.....

I need some longer than "available to purchase" QR clamps (we do like QR clamps for seats racks etc. et.).

I usually like the 8mm versions because the 8mm diameter has really good shear strength.
But the 8mm ones all come as alloy 1-piece that you cannot mess with very easily (see the top item in the picture).
However, the 6mm variants often come in the form of a "pinned" M6 shaft that is threaded at the end (second item in the picture).
With Brute force and ignorance (I have both) you can snap the securing pin and unscrew the 6mm shaft out of the barrel.
So I thought I would grab me some M8 threaded Stainless Steel studding and turn it down at one end and then re-thread it to M6 to go in the barrel and get green loctite stuck into place.

Yup, that works.

So I can make them any length I need them to be. Result!

Why not punch the pin out then redrill the new stud once in place?

Good job you have a lathe handy:D.

Nice work Dan, the lathe was a good purchase!

I have ordered 200m of black shrink wrap to put around my machines when they loaded onto the trailer (which I haven't bought yet!). I have two pallets and will make the third one which will be for the lathe. I have some 75 x 110 wood I bought before the world went silly with wood prices!
