The start of another retirement, oops I mean Job Hunting week (you never know who is reading these threads !)
Bright start with rain due throughout the day.
Bramble season has started so will collect some this morning (cannae beat home made bramble jam)
Then have a search thro local jobs and gym later.
Enjoy the week ahead

Crossed fingers for you!And it's not raining here. It looks as if there has been some rain in the night but the low mist is rapidly clearing.
The big MOT day today so I can't linger in my pit as I have dogs to walk and feed and a long drive to deliver the car to the executioner. Enjoy your Monday, folks.

Up early ish to make brekker for the rest of the family that is off to eSpain, for the rest of it's hol.
Typically the sun is out and shining brightly, the beginnings of the promised heatwave. The sun they missed during the week they were here.
House is strangely quiet and we will miss them.
Still, seeing them once a year is better than not seeing them much at all when they lived in Japan.

Afternoon.
Popped round to old work place to catch up with friends & drop a load of cardboard off.
Got caught by a new starter to “fix” the compactor....
I reply any chocolate or donuts?? Nope they reply,so no work done.
They complain to the boss who comes to the tea hut to find me happily sat with old workers. He turns round & wanders off after a nod of the head. Sends complainer to greggs for bribe food.
By the time he’s back it was fixed & working. Of course I don’t say what Iv done.

And I was just politely thanked by the new (arrogant) head of 6th and that was it!
When I think that ex-students asked me to write it!
Still......., others have benefitted from it.
Egos are such a shame, especially when they get in the way of peeps getting on!
