Well cleaning all done, sitting here supping a beer. Big meringue for a Pavlova cooling in the oven.
BUT Wifey got "the lamb" out of the freezer, late. And when I looked at it I pointed out it wasn't the lamb for the rack of lamb we are supposed to be having tonite!
So the rack is int microwave defrosting.
But Son will not be here as early as he said, unsurprisingly, so no rush!
Still hasn't quite rained yet. Lots of clouds but still quite pleasant. At least it ain't hot!
Booked dinner down at the Canal du Midi to celebrate our 31st anniversary (meeting not wedding). So looking forward to that!
Have a nice evening folks!:):):)

Right, has anyone got a 3.5t flatbed or plant style trailer they want to sell me? I have a few earmarked on eBay but would rather buy one from stranger on the web I have spent the last three years chatting to :)

Do you want to own a big trailer once you moved or do you reckon its cheaper to buy use then sell on?
You could borrow ours;).

I am sure there are a few on here would lend for a week.

Afternoon folks:).

well got some more done, dug an ole to get entry through the concrete into the pool pumproom to run a water pipe and an electric conduit pipe.

We want a water point at the other end of the garden so we don't have stupid meters of hose to drag around, Also as the light switch for the pool is in the pumproom its a PITA to get to switch on and off especially after a few tipples, So light switch and a socket on the outside at the same time makes sense.

Ot again and for the remaining of the month by the looks of things:D:D. Grass is taking on a yellow tint to it, that means the lawnmower can be packed away:).

Got some nice stainless ring pull type handles for the hatches in the decking waiting on the "butler" hinges (think thats what they call them) so said hatches will open and lay flat without straining anything, That will be the hot afternoon jobs when they arrive.

put a fred in the Wanted section on ere for loan or sale see what happens. Lots of guys have them and some get very little use. But if you have the space to store are very handy to have about.

The front garden at the new place is big enough for a trailer and I don't like grass :) the back garden has already been ripped up and paved. I intend to do the same to the front as soon as I can get someone in to do it.

if your gonna leave it in a front garden make sure its nailed down, they is more nickable than a defender:).

Do I get a hint you are close to closing on a new abode:D.

There has been some movement in the right direction, yes
I agree they are a security risk but the layout means it will be behind a wall and gates etc.
They will of course take it if they really want it so it will be insured :)

It is now taxed as well. The funny thing is, the status on the website shows still sorn and no MOT but I have the documents now to prove otherwise. It says it should update in the next 5 days. Strange that an automated system takes so long to update!!
Dunno how many vehicles are on the road at the mo, but there might need to be half a million or so MOT's every day of the week. Thats a lot for the computers to keep up with. Even if its only half that number.

The lathe is 600kgs on its own  cheers for thinking of me though!

For years me and a couple of mates used to hire a big ford box van with a tail lift to take 4 bikes for track days. As they were over a period of 2 days/three nights there was also the camping gear, beer, three sets of tools, riding gear, fuel etc. We once did a rough guesstimate of the weight in the back. It was about twice the payload limit of three quarters of a ton. The three of us in the cab probably took up half of the allowed payload. Never failed to get there and back though.
