... Scratchy (the cat) is in disgrace and was locked out/isolated to the kitchen all night.
Why? Well, I sat down in the lounge last night to watch some TV with herself (as commanded) and as I sat there an overpowering smell of Cat-Pi$$ suddenly hit my senses.
Why the Missus who had been in there for hours had not smelt it I don't know.
Lifting the heavy coffee-table off the rug in the centre of the room I flipped the rug over and there to my horror were 2 very evident wet spots on the back of the rug.:mad::mad:
The rug is now outside in the garden spread across the backs of 2 chairs and has been hosed within an inch of its life and the floor cleaned. I might be able to rescue the rug, but the laminate floor has "blown". :(

Commiserations mate. :(:(:(
Our dogs have been known to do similar in our hall so a few bits of laminate floor have slightly raised edges. Trouble is, how do you easily replace ones right in the middle of the room?:rolleyes:
At least it is usually covered with the rug and coffee table.
I'd get the Mrs nose checked for polyps!;););)

Sadly, this is right in the middle of the room (where coffee-tables and rugs typically live) and even if I had enough spare boards I don't really have the heart to rip it all up and re-do it. :(
I shall cover it with the cleaned up (or a new) rug and have the Cat "sealed shut" with superglue. ;)
Our floor is propper parquet flooring. We got a couple of reclaimed pallets of the stuff & done the living room. No chance this will ever come up. It’s well sealed for accidents

Bit of an odd day today.
Did some minor plumberin this a.m. Changed the diaphragm in the valve int downstairs loo so I can stop having to use the scroodriver to turn the other valve off.:D:D:D
Then took the plug out the basin int family bathroom where it was fixed to the opening device/plunger thing. dunno why the fitter put it in like that but the basin emptied as I shaved. At least it came out fairly easily and I was able to modify it so it now lifts out. cleaned the chrome with a bit iof toothpaste. Now seals lovely!:):):)
Then the major job, Wifey and i emptied the airing cupboard. Once all the stuff was spread out in piles on our bed, it covered it, and there was stuff there neither of us remembered! Feckin enormous pile. So it is now sorted, some to be chucked, some to go off to the charity shops, some in a pile as dog towels, and some to go int garage for polishing cloths etc. took a coupla hours at least. (Cupboard seems just as full.)
What a task!!! Will do it again in 38 years!
:):):):)
Weather is meeeeehhhh!
Enjoy the evening folks!:):):):)
