I am working on my place today (for a change). I shall see how best to fit the new window-cills and have at it.
Tom will go to my son's and run a whacker-plate around the patio area, peg it out for size & gradient etc.
I am looking forward to my "day off"
My son has already started on the "my bonus wasn't as big as I expected" spiel (aka the start of yet another approach for money from me to finance his hopes & dreams).

Looking really nice!.... I have cut all my window-cills/sills to size and to fit in the mini-barn.
I will take them off one by one and fit them on top of battens to the underlying brickwork over the weekend.
The underlying building is not square to the rear of the house(!) so I have adopted a "Do your best and caulk/gapfill the rest" approach.
At the end of the day the mini-Barn is a glorified "Shed" on the back of the house not the Sistine chapel.
Absolutely nothing like having a decent pub within staggering distance.Personally, I would stroll there and meander / dawdle back

Well had a good day and finished off the little bits on the roof to the summer kitchen, still need a few more screws for the ridge caps but its secure and watertight so good enough for now
So we have been evaluating lots of little jobs over the last few weeks and it seems a mini digger is on the cards
