Yesdi din't wuk oat as planned. Was putting two bits of wud over me garage windows un noticed the frame be loose ont one of them. Gottid frame fixing fings so eye finks eye can fix it. Got me glass oat un put ole int frame then gottid me big sds drill un put an 8mm ole int brick. Only me sds drill bit be 20mm not long enuff. So eye gets me battery drill un a normal masonry bit un drill one ole 20mm more but can't do the second one assit be too hard. Not sure why. Me longer normal drill bit looks ok. Eye has been a bit suspicious if it ferra while. But thems sds drills go through bricks quick so eye has ter give up cos eye int gottid one of thems long enuff.
Ordered a 260mm lenf drill bit as mine be 160. Went ter screwfix ter collect. They din't have the longer one at about 400. Gottid back ter me garage un finished second ole. Then put screw int both. One snapped arf way along. Bastid. They be 5mm fick anorl. Can't gerrit oat as it be about 150mm long so eye gives up un drills anuvva ole. Me brick splits un bits fall ont floor. So thats no good. So eye drills a furd ole that side un it wuks. Plug un screw int ok. Damaged the head ont screw ont other side but it went all the way int. Then put me winda back. Worra faff. Tis no wonder why it takes so long ter do stuff. Fings keeps going wrong. Gorra put me wud up ter day as eye run oat of time yesdi.
It's for this reason I keep a Road Hawk running on mine all the time.Right some stupid bint ruined my day....
Had a bump with the D1 towing my trailer..... driving along the shore road (b road) 40mph
driver in front just stopped no hazarded lights or indicators, I indicated started to pass her
then she decided to swerve across into me ffs my bull bar crushed the rear door of the
rav I couldnt go anywhere as id be down a verge into trees.
First admitted it then once she moved her motor came out an said I must have been driving
too close an she wouldnt be bullied into admitting fault. wtf
Why did she stop.....as there were ducks on the road got all her details an now need to let
the insurance sort it. Didnt even take the paint off mine.
It's said some of the claims could be difficult as the post masters admitted fault when asked to make up the loss themselves. You have to imagine a situation of inspectors turning up to look through yer books. Then yer told its wrong and cornered. Argue and yer lose yer post office counter. So things may be more difficult for some. Admitting the loss is your fault... kind of admits guilt of stealing. So there's some technicalities involved. One would hope royal mail do the right thing.
Peeps have lost personal wealth. Houses and marriages. Lost other jobs or not been able to work. It's hard to justify the financial response to that. Money won't fix some of it.
Another lovely day! I just can't believe my luck.
Post office money is quite good if yours has a good flow. If you have a shop at the front it will assist pulling in custom. Your effectively a franchise but working for yourself. Heavily controlled but a nice setup. There's waiting lists and bidding wars to buy them sometimes.Agree totally with that. Maybe it just doesn't happen too often.
And also I find peeps who run small post offices work their fecking nuts off for very little money and round here they are really nice decent people.
It must have been quite frightening for them. They lose their business, job and most of the time their home. If royal mail find reason too they can put in a member of staff to take over as post master and your not allowed behind the counter. You pay their wages anorl. A lot of this was happening at the time of post office closures so there may have been concerns/pressure from that anorl. Tis understandable why some took a loss themselves as a way out, so they could continue. One post master was given a collection from the locals who paid the loss adjustment to help her. Think it was a wealthy area and they liked and trusted her. Many admitted fault in a plea bargain to avoid thousands in legal fees and house repossession etc. and jail time ...
.... and your dirty overalls!Mornin all.
