When I left skool and took my first job it was compulsory to go into the pub after work on odd occasions. Speshully at kris muss. I tried a few different drinks to start with but couldn't drink beer as it was too bitter and as you all know it is an acquired taste. I discovered a bottled guiness with a drop of lemonade in was palatable and I could drink enough of it to get pi$$ed and throw up. And it got me weaned onto real beer as brewed in Newcastle . Well, I was only 16 at the time. It wasn't until I was in me late twenties that I discovered the best beer is brewed in Kent where they still grow real English hops and use it to great effect. And they have got some real good micro brewers. Getting all nostalgic now, must go and see me mates down there as soon as lockdown eases a bit.Or a Guinness shandy(domino)
