Well up an orf to the Eye hospital so Wifey can get her replaced lens looked at.
Turns out it is misting up similar to.........a cataract.
She has one of those skin types that east plastic. No good giving her a Swatch, it would fall off her wrist in no time.
Turns out the doc can re laser it this p.m at 5 p.m. so the whole day almost will revolve around this.
Also the other new lens is going the same way and it's only a few years old:rolleyes:
AND she is having it all done privately cos the NHS wouldn't touch it.
Is that enough roll-eyes for one post?
Feck it all!:mad::mad::mad::mad:
At least she'll be able to see properly again, fewer headaches etc.:):):):)

Ooohhhhh Sorry to hear this. I cannot stand anything to do with my eyes, the thought turns my stomach.
Give her my very best wishes for a trouble-free procedure and a rapid and full recovery. :D

Wot they like round yours?
Ours charge like feck.
Don't spose she'll do much more than stick some ointment on it, and/or maybe give him an antibiotic injection.
Anyway, you do have to look after your doggies, don't you?
We do, despite the cost.
We try to do it all in frogland where it is much cheeeeeper!
Best of luck for him!:):):)

My vet retired about four months ago. He charged me very little really, except for the drugs, and sometimes nothing at all although I did have to travel a long distance to get there! Also, and it is important as my wee one is very timid, I was always invited into the consulting room to stay with the dogs when others had to be treated outside! I have not used this Mobile vet (lady) before but she comes highly recommended, which is more than can be said for any of the others within 30 mile radius! After asking around it seems that everyone is travelling further and further away to try to get a vet that is remotely decent.
I thought I would try this one as she is only ten miles away but comes to the clients house/farm/smallholding instead of having a home surgery - a good idea for a rural community. Her vehicle is set up to do ops, too.
Just for a claw problem I wouldn't normally see the vet, unless it was bad, but this time the only way I found out he had a problem was because he seemed out of sorts and kept snapping at the big one - he didn't even want him to be in the same room! The big 'un is so peace-loving and full of fun, he wouldn't dream of snapping back at his pal, in fact, he was quite frightened by this snapping and tried to hide away. He does seem happier today and hasn't snapped at all, I looked at his claw and although it is almost detached, it is clean and far less raw looking.
Nothing to do with the claw, but I think I will ask for her advice about castrating him. He hasn't a clue what 'it' is all about and shows no interest whatsoever in females but does seem to be worried by the 'ormones!!

My father had injections into his (don’t read any further Dan) eyeball:eek: to try/help restore vision after a cancer of the eye.

worked a bit but not real vision back:(.

Hope Mrs Steamer is ok and maybe give Mr @Stanleysteamer Less grief so he can be a more happy chap:)

Bit of a Cougar is she then, on the quiet? Can't resist a bit of bum cleavage?!
Wish you could find some poison for your vermin. how about slug pellets? But then you have a dog too don't you?
Can't remember.
Have a nice day!
Poisoning badgers and foxes is not legal, I believe! He doesn't have a dog but he does have a PC.

Sorry. do I seem unhappy? Maybe it is lockdown or summat, cos usually I am a happy chap, most of the time. But then maybe this is where we come to moan!
I am very confident she'll be fine. the guy doing the work is competent and operated on her before. This time all he will be doing will be a bit of lasering, no cutting or anything.

I will try to be a bit cheerier!
Thanks to all for the sympathy, she does appreciate it.:):):):):)
