The Avon is back up over the flood plains again.as for the Severn it’s not dropped.Rain started at two and apparently is here until next Friday. I was watching the river levels hoping I’d get in a day on the local without it looking like chocolate and pouring into the farmers fields
Not seen the wye this week.

If you mean, "...for stamp duty" I belive it is 1% below £250k then 3% above that up to yet another threshold.
And i think on very cheap flats etc there is an below which you pay nowt, I'll see if i can find a link.

Looks feckin high!...that I got bored sitting on my fat bum doing nothing and so I had a stab at doing some more of her garden obelisk.
Please excuse the fact that it is hard to see in amongst all the clutter in my little workshop, trike park and general dumping ground.
It is 8mm steel round bar and its hard to weld in such a cramped space, but I am getting there.
I need to bring the top end to a point/platform for mounting a little weathervane she says.

Aft describes where something is in relation to something, eg "the mast is stepped aft of the hatch." So it is an adjective.Nope tis actually the aft
But the the stern is the back end or "after" end of the ship/boat. so it is a noun, a thing,
Same difference as "forrard" and "forecastle (fo'csle) or bows".
Scuse me for once having been a language teacher.
But don't mind me and keep on calling it the aft if you want, we all know what you mean and communication is the true goal of language.
