Just sold me Citroen.
It had developed a misfire and I wasn't going to spend any money on it so stuck it on facepage and got £200 for it.
At least you admitted you are an ex Citroen driver
Oh the shame

Its nothing to do with MS and not their fault. Your system has been compromised when you let the scammers in.Well it hasn't worked, the scan was left to run and it got stuck at 38% for well over an hour. So I went back to the other thing to see if I could download the minimal virus checker thing and got exactly the same response as before.
so i think i am stuck with trying to get Norton itself to play ball.
Such a shame as it looked as if I was going to get an easy fix.
Such a fecking pain.
Bloody virus inventers. Why can't they see it doesn't really hurt the primary target, Microsoft, just fecks up the lives of those ordinary peeps like you and me who try to use it.
Thanks, that is exactly what I intend to do.Its nothing to do with MS and not their fault. Your system has been compromised when you let the scammers in.
The idea of running trend micro house call is because its a simple to use stand alone free scanner, which is one hell of a tool to have. I recommend others install the free version for such occasions in future when they may have problems themselves, and need a backup option. It lays dormant until you use it. Once it's done it's own auto update of definition files via the web it's a free scanning tool. I can't eggsplain why it stopped scanning.
You now need to contact norton. Don't fuk about with other products. It is not norton at fault. Its likely the scammers did something to stop it working. You purchased Norton and its not working and you have support as part of the purchase to help you. They will log in remotely and sort it out. Its what they do to help.
You could have all sorts of unknown problems like viruses etc in yer phooter. Yer may have disk errors or other stuff going wrong. Contact norton now and let them help.
They is 24/7. Will be sorted for peak times. Thanks, that is exactly what I intend to do.
I am hoping they'll be less busy as it is Saturday night!
https://support.norton.com/sp/en/uk/home/current/contactWell here I go, feels like I am going "over the top"
Thanks mate, doing this now, i.e. norton is scanning my system
They have now scanned it with "powereraser" and found no threats. Thanks mate, doing this now, i.e. norton is scanning my system
Mine too you fat cnut!
Steak etc
Yum yum!
What makes you think this? Because it refuses to update?Well that didn't work. the bug has convinced Norton that I "have no internet connection" which I obvs have.
So I think I am going to have to give up on it and follow @derwendolly 's method. and get hold of Macafee.
What a fecking waste of time and money!
Yet for the mo the pooter seems to be working OK.
So fecking annoying!!!
Stan called you fat!!
Who has, norton? They have now scanned it with "powereraser" and found no threats.
so I have fed back to them what the issues are and asked them why they cannot find it and fix it.
So we will see.
but thanks once again for all your help!
I will not let go of this!
Who has, norton?
It may not be a virus. It could be a setting within norton like telling it to use a proxy server that dun't eggsist, for internet connections.
Sorry typo,Here you im not a cnut
