Well woke up at stupid o'clock, thought a bit more sanely about it then got up and went to post box.
Found a a parcel from Blighty with post in it. the tax demand was in it, so it went Fr-UK-Fr. And fortunately they are going to take the dosh dreckly so no need to go into the toon!
Also got another Frog leccy bill, despite they have yet to send me the cheque they owe me. so a rather sharp email has gon orf!!
Spent ages working on Froggy finances as you have to do everything online nowadays and to open the account has gone all around the houses, got there finally and downloaded last 2 yrs staatements as they don't send em no more.:rolleyes:

Been pizzing down all morn but sun now out. Will I ever get the last bit of weedwhacking done?

Looks as if Durham is the place to go if you want to avoid council tax and planning permission!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
 
I surprised myself in the gym today.

Managed 5 full-weight L-sit chin-ups as well as 5 traditional Pull-ups (among other things) but the un-aided lifts were a welcome surprise indeed.

Afternoon.
Fitted second side gate to the side of the house(was a fence panel). Loaded the landrover up with more junk for trip to the tip Friday.
Removed some vegetation for new shed. Found old neighbour has put a down pipe behind his fence to drain water onto my property. So cut pipe & moved the end & pointed it back onto his side(of course took picture as Its over the boundary)
now do I cut the cable & water pipe I have also found :mad:

Is the cable live?
Could you use it to power your shed or summat?;)

Unsure if it’s live as I would use insulated digging tools ;)

I love how they complain about my fence been 8ft tall & say it’s too tall for planning. Pity that they got a property with a planning stipulation that if this becomes a B&B they need to build a new brick wall,this is to prevent lights onto my property.
I have also left the old concrete/wire fence posts up. If they remove these they will once again be on my boundary. Of course I don’t tell them till the planning inspector turns up(again:eek:)

Wonder if it was done before he bought the place.
But our neighbours always wait until we are away before doing something sh!tty! So maybe so do H-P's.
 
I had a couple of hours to myself to tinker with my "tilting delta trike" project.

A friend pointed out to me (not unkindly) that before I sink more time effort etc. into the madness that is a tilting delta trike I should perhaps check that it doesn't just fall over (like the last one kept doing). It is unfortunate that several bits of tube have to be consumed and at least strongly tacked onto a flying formation in order to do any form of testing.
Today I had a bash at attaching the tilting bits to the static bits and I actually sat on the main keel with all of the wheels on the thing, and it felt good.
I could not in the time available (and with the skies darkening and rain beginning to fall) have an opportunity to do much "testing" as such.
In fact I didn't even have brake cables on it, just some less than tight zip-ties on the brake actuating arms. The trike was able to stand up all on its own and resist falling over with a "gentle" amount of lean.
Here are a few pictures. The links that actuate the tilting are not adjusted to get the swing-arms in line with each-other so it does look a little "odd".

As a gut feeling the track does still seem amazingly narrow, but then there are three wheeled motorbike/moped things buzzing up and down our mountain roads and they heel over fine and stay upright, so maybe I am just worried over nothing. :)
Anyway, good luck with it all and do keep us in contact with it!

The track is purposefully narrow, I only have a 28" track down the side of my house to the storage shed in the back garden.:(
This is why it is being built as a tilter. Narrow tracked trikes fall over on corners......unless they can tilt. Hence all the effort into tilting trike. :D

I did remember you saying you were building it so you could get it through your gate!
Would there not be a way of building a normal one but with a sliding doodah on the axle so the two wheels could be slid inwards? I do realise it would introduce a certain element of weakness unless done very well, like a sliding joint on a propshaft? Or not? The splines the thineing.
(Thinks!!!!! o_O)
