Our gardener has just completed ours and it looks lovely. ( N.B. We are not rich and swanky
but have had to resort to offering employment to a willing soul as the work is now beyond hubby's ability (health).)

Swifts arrived here a couple of days ago. We gets swifts and swallows but never seen any house martins.

Our bungalow is a favourite for the house martin's building nest.
They make quite a mess on the walls under the eaves whilst making them all though.
All ours are back. Some are now fighting sparrows who have decided to take over the old nests, nasty little fookers when they want
We have to agree with @derwendolly though they make a big mess especially when they start eating the red/purple fruit
yep comes out other end same colour but makes more of a splat.Got our Orieals and Bee eaters too lovely sound to listen to with an afternoon cuppa in the garden. I use the term garden loosely at this time but we have been working on it

Well that was what you call right on cue, as far as the garden is concerned! Unfortunately, some houses in parts of Carmarthen suffered damage in the sidden and heavy storms and parts of Swansea suffered flooding! That should keep the illegal tourists away from the west for a while.

We had only a couple of heavy 'showers' but the garden liked it.
The tourist police have been out in force this weekend. They have been positioning themselves well into Pembrokeshire, on the main A40 trunk road, where they have been stopping and checking 'suspect' travellers, reporting them for un-necessary travel and then turning them around at Penblewin roundabout and sending them back home with various checks on their movements as they went on their way!
Some people will never learn!
