Well I sourced a cheap breaker bar to try and get the stubborn wheel nuts off. Only cost me 2 quid from the scrappers.

Took it home, got stuck in to the nuts. 4 of the 5 were alright and cracked open not a problem. But one (there's always one) was too tight and actually bent the bloody wheel brace!

The nut still won't come loose. Tried the blow torch a bit and break-free spray etc.

I've ordered a 'heavy duty' bearmach one but might have to throw in the towel and get the garage to give it a blast with their air-tools boys!

I struggled for hours with a nut on a trailer wheel. Trailer manual said they should been torqued up to 110nm tried all sorts to get it off no joy, went and bought a Lidl impact driver £39.99, 15 minute later it was off.

lump hammer and cold chisel, destroy the nut, they're cheap enough to replace, buy a bag full and keep some as spares, cheaper than buying wheel braces.
I was considering that, but was worried I'd fck up the stud bolts.

@tottot They might rattle off! LOL

I bent my 3 foot breaker bar yesterday and snapped the half inch drive on my Stahlwille breaker, trying to get my alloy wheel nuts off. I had the wheels balanced last weekend and so I had to take the Landy back this Saturday afternoon to get them to rattle gun the nuts off, because they rattle gunned them on. Muppets.

Well lads, just got the bearmach wheel brace. Will let you know how this latest endeavor goes.

If this fails it's either an impact driver, or take it to a garage to rattle those nuts!

Just buy a proper breaker bar!
This ^^
three foot breaker bad with a deep impact socket on the end. Slide in nicely behind the seat (hardtop) and not failed me yet. whole lot can be picked up very cheaply online. Doesnt need to be particularly good quality.

For gods sake stop buying wheel braces and get a breaker bar! I feel like I’m shouting at an empty room.

CRACK! CRACK CRACK!
Nut cracker!
Bearmach to the rescue. Got 'er done. :)
The cheater bar is a bit more than 3 feet I think, might struggle to stuff it behind the seat. Main thing is the nuts are loosened enough to manually undo.

The 3 foot breaker bar I did bend by hand, but I think that's got to be fairly easy with it being 3 feet long!
The Stahlwille bar is only about 18" long and solid. After bending the long breaker I put the Stahlwille on but put the high lift trolley jack under it  It was like a rifle going off when it snapped, nearly sh@t myself. :D
