Jai- you must be narrower than me, I bloody struggled to get out the pepper stock lane at the markyate end....the gap is very tight. Thank god for flexible arches! ;)

Aye not cleaver! Especially as the guy that looks after pepperstock is a regular reader of the forums.

Drove my old mans disco through no probs quite tight tho.

Although I see what they are doing by stopping the wider transit types flytipping and indeed dumped cars they'd be better putting a 10 meters of humps a each end. The only real soloution is gates and trusted key holders to be honest which is costly. I know Pepperstock is at its final stage before they throw a TRO the lane so any problems it will be closed. Which is a shame as it was my first ever greenlane I drove, the first day I got my landy on the road first drive straight after its MOT and my first car so its quite a special to me. Back then it was not a gravel lane as it is now.

See what you mean about it needing cutting back, very overgrown at some points - had to get out and check a few times that I wasnt going to damage either my Disco or any of the overhanging trees and branches. My beacon nearly got bashed off a few times!

To be honest I wont be driving it again as I cant get out easily enough. A few more inches is fine but them posts are just too close together for me, shame really as its a nice lane.

Did a few more lanes this evening, Hitchin to Luton then off to Pepperstock and the fords at Redbourn, quite a nice drive.

Hey Spydie I might pop over one evening with a tape measure need to measure you series 1 bumper my IIa III is way way too big!! needs to be cut and shut and beefed up with some 6mm angle.

Hello all!!

Long time no speak!!

Today I have been blessed with driving the "father in laws" TD5 defender, strictly on road as its a Tarmac toy for him... But it got me thinking I hadn't been on in a while! How is everyone doing?? And more importantly..... Does benjyp and I still hold the Ryder cup?!? Lol

He does.... but only cos ryder hasnt had a motor for a while! Get to the pub fella!

Can anyone recomend a LR friendly MOT center? I am currently rebuilding a 2a and have quite a way to go but I started dreaming today about getting it on the road.

My father in law knows someone who owns a test station but alarm bells started ringing when he said it was fully computerised. I would prefer the common sense approach rather than "computer says no" menatality.

Sm0129

There is a few around here they are all
Computerised your
Saving grace is the age of the 2a. Because its an older vehicle then lots
Of regs are relaxed simply because many older vehicles would never pass the strict regs for a newer car.

Personally I would try Tring old dairy garage they have always been
Good but the car must be legal I failed for rear lights fixed that free retest passed the
Next day.

Alternatively in Tring there is another garage market autos or something like thy they were very good or if you want Something closer then try ash burnham road garage near dallow road.

All of these will need the motor to be working and safe anything not safe will fail but landy sense is there for all of them.

All good guys last time I used them because they are popular they are booked up so worth booking up early for sure

Jai
