Nothing on my Landy, that isn't 100% functional.:p:p:p

Shake-down really depends on DB getting it fired up. I'm down by Salisbury Plain this w/e for a wedding and DB is in Ireland for a week from Saturday.
The plan is to drive it away this Friday night, which gives me next week to do bump stops, axle straps, Gearbox Oils and generally get used to how it drives.
Then the last week to sort any problems, sort some 12v power outlets and have a bit of fun with it before Salisbury, plus give it a bit of a clean-up.

Well that's the plan anyway.

Sorted;)

Mind you, you'll have to go at the back when we're out and about coz:

1 - nobody will fit in your ruts.
2 - there'll be no smoke to follow
3 - we'll all go blind off all the shiny bits.

;) :D

Dropped in on Spyderman and Discobasher this afternoon. It's starting to look like a motor again! Nice shiny pipe... you gonna polish that after every outing Spyderman?

So should we have an official launch when its ready to run? If so where?

Jai_Landrover BTW I spent all night copying that data you requrie. Had to do each file individually in the end, there's a problem with some of the files that really messed up XP when the copy failed.

I'll cut them tomorrow and give you a ring afterward to arrange delivery!

ive been told that i have a wiring fault and a dodgy coil so new one ordered and investigate the fault

A wiring fault......mmmm. That narrows it down a bit then.

Where is the suspected fault, in the injection loom or somewhere else. If it's in the injection loom you should be able to find it relatively easily with a DVM. Have you checked all your earthing points?

its near the coil side i havent seen yet looking tomorrow and checking everything else ie earths etc

Mmmmm....... interesting. There's not a lot over there. The coil itself has only 3 wires connected to it, the king lead, the lead from the ignition amplifier (alternator trigger) and the wire that goes back into the injection loom. Pretty simple to run a by-pass on that part of the system.

Interesting though, you said your rev counter worked (most of the time), the wire from the coil (black and white wire) is the rev counter signal wire. It could be the wiring fault is you coil.

Check resistances of primary and secondary windings. If you can get one, get a genuine Lucas coil. Do not put a high output coil in the system coz it will get upset.

is the wedding sunday? as im off to one aswel
They're actually getting married on Friday, but Saturday afternoon/night is the Party with BBQ/Hog Roast. It's most of my Ski mates, so it's going to be a bit wild. Stopping over in the Hotel as the owner is also a ski mate. Back Sunday.
