Not good Chip. I take it a quick clout with a hammer didn't work? Or is it a biger electrical gremlin.

Never mind, at least you don't have to take the engine to bits to fix it. I'm sure some of us will be going out soon. You are welcome to join us, bit of a trek from Evesham though, but at least it is a reasonably pleasant drive.

Sorted already m8 girlfriends old man has a disco too and happened to have a spare. Looking forward to the day out I will be at the next one. Don't mind the trek, I'll just tell Tom Tom to avoid motorways and enjoy the view.....

You survived 40 Foot. Well done - I'm guessin your Range Rover aint standard then. When i went through it a few weeks ago I was getting stuck on me diffs everywhere!!

Did think about trying to catch up with you guys but as ever the Rangie had other ideas, ABS warning light came on (sort of fixed that) and exhaust back box fell off!! (won't be able to weld it up this time lol. Sounds good though.
Not that standard no lol do what ive done just weld a pipe on the rear sounds good but not to loud
P4ULY1980 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting should show a few pics of mine

Looks mean and a lot of fun. As luck would have it I just returned some bits to my neighbour, he had a cherry bomb in his garage and said if it will fit it's mine for a fiver.

I think it will fit, a short length of flexi over the top as a sleeve, a couple of clamps and job done. Something to bodge in the week me thinks. Still need a new exhaust really, but at least I can put it off for a while.

Well... I thought that went alright! I survuved... didn't get stuck... saw the bottom end of 40ft lane for the first time!

A great many slippery spots but some lovely lanes and fantastic scenery!

Have a video of us at the Graffam Water lane.... being followed by a caterham and a couple of antique motor cycles! The world's all gone topsy turvy!

Hey Chip... thanks for letting us know nice and early... we could have been waiting for hours otherwise. We had a good day, lots of lanes, some mud, one or two ****ed off ramblers, one pub with a very dodgy bar maid, a pint of the wonderful Abbot Ale, one communal pack of biscuits, one teenager, two small boys, a baby, a bump and a disco that seems to have its own agenda. (Johns not mine!) And all with my tyres on backwards.... no wonder I was reversing so well!

Well done mate you made 40 foot without getting stuck cheers to that ...

Wow wish i was there instead i was at a crummy hospital ..

well next week is Surrey cant wait ..

Glad you had fun guys, really disapointed i couldnt get there though. I'll be at the next one though. Is that video going on youtube???

Glad you all had a good day.:D
I'm Back from Manchester, having had rather a heavy session in the Pub last night. 25 Ski Instructors sure know how to drink and have a good time.:D
Full day on the hill today, fantastic facility, hope the new one at Hemel will be as good, all looks promising atm.
Spoke to DB, Dan has been helping DB out all w/e, big thanks, I owe you one.
Engine block is in, engine mounts sorted, so it's in it's final resting place. Head is in bits being rebuilt, then it's just ancillary bits to go back on, sort exhaust, raised intake and a bit of wiring and Tonka is reborn.:D

Spyderman,

You likely to have any flexible intake hose left over. Could do with about 450mm-600mm of 68/70mm i.d. if there is any going.
I doubt it, they only gave me 1.00m in the kit. If there's any left of course you're welcome to it. It's really good quality stuff, Southdown do sell it separately.
