no its a cousins 21st and we doin the disco for them aswel, forgot to say its the driver side not the passenger side.

i was goin to arrange a trip for when i was supposed to be there a few weeks ago just forr a week away but the car died.

OK Well that's torn it! Fired up the V8 with just the downpipes on it. Kai nearly wet himself with delight at the sound of that lovely V8 burbling away... Rose on the other hand came leggin it out of the house and confiscated the keys until we have the rest of the exhaust in place.

Well with a lot of luck my landy will be back running this weekend and should hopefully be ok well at least for a little while so i can save some money for next time its not been cheap!

Many thanks to Gibbo Phil for this evening, Kai has a smile on his face that I relly do not think will be accurately interpreted until he presents his first project for all to see! An otherwise unused toolbox with some tools and various useful bits and pieces that now has a 9 year old wondering ( can I use * for * dad?)

My own question of course( does that mean you will lose YOUR * instead of my * Kai?)

That's suitably vague:doh: Guess you'll be checking out the whole transmission then. Prop shaft UJ's, suspension bushes, A frame bushes/ball joint but you never know, you could have an old bolt or something rolling around in the back or something. Good luck!

yup about as vague as it gets - sorry bout that. its on lifting from the accelerator, and over bumps at speed. only a slight knocking - looks like i may have to do some noseying around.

i need to learn these things fast - my europe road trip may well be morphing into a 3 continent 15 thousand mile jobby in the landy! gonna need to be pretty switched on technically by then!

shall we put a theoretical bet on what it could be?

I'll have transfer gear/gearbox output shaft slop,
Worn drive flanges/shafts only due to the milage it has covered,

If you've only notice it since you took the thick mats out then put the mats back in.problem solved.
