I'm in no real hurry, I'd rather do it right. Strip down both, order what parts I need and put it back together. The strip down and rebuild we can do in the garage so we're in the warm with lights, it's only the final refit that needs to be done outside in daylight.

big thanks to spyderman he won the front axle i won the rear axle we collected them both together this am.

anyone bored Sunday there is a trial at Brickhill Sun 9th

wont make Dec pub meet however if anyone fancies a meet later in the month ill be up for that.

Good to have a Sprinter to pick up big stuff, makes life a lot easier.
I won't be at the pub on Wednesday either, Russell Crow in Les Miserables is keeping me busy that night.
I too would be up for a Christmas meet later in the month.

Jai, bit of a result, got the 4 winter tyres for the Subaru for £120 fitted. The guy really didn't know what he had, £30 each as against £200 each.

Could do with those up here right now.. bloody freezing!!! Must be about -8 on the road out of my village!!

Last time I was in scotland I came out from my cottage in the morning and couldnt drive my rangie. I had to use low range to drive away because the the night before, my warm tyres had melted into the ice and then re froze! It was a very lumpy ride until the ice and tyres had defrosted!

Have fun.

Bloody 'ell!! That's incredible!

I seem to have a problem with my battery being flat recently, im not sure if my alternator is going out or im just not doing long enough trips. Is there any way I could have wired up the starter wrongly so it is draining the battery?

I've had numerous ski trips to Scotland, a girl fell asleep on the coach and her hair froze to the window. The coach tyres froze solid to the ground and they couldn't move it. Welcome to Scotland.

Won't be able to get to the pub on Weds, but would be up for something later in the month, and some gentle petrol series friendly laning.

Are heavy interior ice falls from the roof normal in a series by the way, or is mine just a little bit special? Not the most endearing feature I've found so far...

If you dont have any tools the simplest way to check for battery drain is to turn off everything and keep the keys in your pocket. Then disconnect the battery and check for very small sparks as you touch the earth lead back onto the battery. Sparks equals current drain. The proper way would be to connect an amp meter. If you have a drain simply start to disconnect stuff. Start with anything you have fitted aftermarket. Remember if it has a clock it will draw a very small amount.

If you have a volt meter just connect it to the battery and fire up the engine. Turn on the lights, heater and anything else electric and rev the engine to 1500/2000rpm. The volts at the battery should be in the 13-14 volt range. Less than 12 will mean definatly alternator knackered.

It may just be a case of tired battery and bloody cold weather.

I have an overhead water feature in the form of a sunroof in my disco. I need to get a dehumidifyer o rmaybe some bags of salt.

Icicles used to literally try and kill you in my old series. Get a roof lining to stop the air touching the metal and all will be well.

Pub is touch and go for me supposed to be out somwhere but its not been confirmed.

Got a new map yesterday Just for the treasure hunt maybe we could double up the treasure hunt and layer pub meet maybe??
