Hertfordshire Laners Salisbury trip

Right i will be brining:

Tent ect, food, beer two small camp cookers. as ryder said i will bring the generator with halogen flood lights as well as another light (similar to halogen but no heat given of this one) i all so ahave an adaptor for 240 volt house plug so if anyone is thinking they need to bring something but cant power it the thats sorted (i.e 2 teenage girls hair straightners ect)

only recovery points i have at mo is standard tie down loops but trying to sort that out this weekend. i have no winch or anything like that.

Think thats all but prob will have other stuff not listed here

If you get stuck for recovery points let me know before Sunday and we can get something made up for you. Will need to look at the chassis though see how we can do it Jai

Phil, I seem to remember that you have eyes on the bull bar. If that is securely attached it should be enough for a bridle to be attached. (someone will correct me if I am wrong)

i think the best thing to do is travel in the middle of a group at least then you can be recovered both way may it arise ........... it doubtful if a winch will be needed but good to have to hand as long as people have recovery strops theres no problem (or slick tyres then it becomes interesting )
 
Well if possible we can have a go at making some decent mounts up, might aswell get them sorted before we go away. All we need is to copy landy jate rings mabe make some narrower ones or something similar to fit the frontera chassis. A short strop and you have a really good setup. Jai

Why don't we just get them to order some jate rings... we cam always collect them from scorpion... they're only £16 each after all. That n a couple of drilled recovery points...?
 
Think i'm all sorted, had a look over my camping gear tonight and tested out my inflateble sofa, that works well. taking the Disco to Penzance this weekend so if it makes it there, then it should be fine for Salisbury. Spoke to my Mate Dan with the Frontera and he's getting his camping stuff sorted out now and should be all ok for Salisbury. I won't be back from Penzance until Wednesday evening, so if there are any big plan changes, could someone please give me call, CHEERS.
 
Ahhhh LMFAO .... 30 minutes to pitch a tent :eek: .. the advert said a simple 10 min job, NOT! lol .. Dont Forget a Mallet .. Ive got some practising to do .....

This is the original 10 for which DB booked pitches for Saturday night.

Since then, way back in the mists of time the numbers have grown. As I understand it, the notorious 10 above will be joined by:

Gibbo_phil
Ratty
Robint
Robpenrose
90boy
3 Rangey boys

I also seem to think we will be joined by a couple of additional Frontera's, one of Gibbo_phils mates and another with Kris300TDI.

That, if I have counted correctly gives us 20 motors!!! So I'm guessin there is gonna be something like 40-50 people coz I know some will have passsengers.

Can you all confirm you are coming, if your name is not on the list by tomorrow, I suspect it will be too late and the campsite will be full. I think we're O.K. for contact numbers.

Now for a couple of obviously daft questions -

Does everybody know where we are meeting?

Do you know where the campsite is?

Do you have a pitch booked?

Have you checked your camping gear?

Are you confident your car will make it?

yes i'm there,

meeting leonberge at 7am ish.....

Have no idea where the campsite is but following db and spyder man.

I'm hoping that my pitch has been booked by db in the original 10,

I have me camping gear. including a tent big enough for DB to crash in with me.

and other than the clutch master (being done thursday) i'm happy me motor wil make it.
