Hey Brett, picked up the CB, got an antenna with it too but you'll need to pick up the following from maplins.

1 x DV Base mount

1 x PL259 and sufficient coax to run from the rig to the antenna.

Call when you want to come over I'm in the area from now till Fri Lunch time!

Just got back from Cornwall, 700 mile round trip and nothings fallen off so all should be fine for Friday. Will give the Disco a bit of a look over tomorrow just to be sure. Had a little problem with the tent today, while trying to get the tent down in high wind. It turned itself into a giant ball and rolled down the hill, but we got it back after a bit of a chase.

Nothin quite like a game of chase in the wind mate !!!!

60mph AVERAGE!!! you'd be lucky. Yesterday I did 500 miles in the silver machine, the first 220 was all motorway and cruising faster than would be sensible in a landy I only averaged 66mph. Suggest you guys need to allow at least an hour and a half to hour and three quarters for drive time.

The weather for the weekend looks ****e.

Do we have any alternative plans for eating on Saturday night, as it's a bit difficult to have a BBQ in the ****ing rain?

If there isn't a Pub with food local, I've been recommended this place: Goa Balti House

It's in Everleigh which is pretty much in the middle of the plain just passed the Para drop zone.

I've been told there's a Vehicle wash down facility at Ludgersall.
Could be worth investigating as it's seriously muddy atm

Kev, It's the Army's vehicle wasing facility. If they can deal with Challenger Tanks, I'm sure a few muddy Landys won't hurt.

once the tents are up feeding will be easy. OK so there may be a few spots of rain, but after a dozen pints who's going to notice?

I cant wait now......... personal opunion is that the bbq might be a wash out. i think take away or pub it is! the balti place sounds good!

have done my clutch master now :) everything (bar the CB) (touch wood) is now fine.....

I have tried ringing the blokey for the seats in letchworth with no joy. so as yet they have not been picked up.......
will try again tomorrow! sorry ratty........

Again as per the other thread if people require maglites i need to be told!!

at the moment i'm only getting for 2 people so please pm me should you still want one

Dan
