A Range rover on a two post ramp, specially pulling and tugging gearbox in and out is NOT a very good idea. Two post ramps are NOT recommended.
Hi,just rung my mate and he says its a four ton ramp so the weight shouldn't be a problem is there a reason why its not a good idea thanks lee

Becuse its like a pair of scissors the way it opens unlike a normal ramp can be unstable and even prove to be in the way as it goes across the car widthways in stead of length ways prop it up see if the car is stable and if the ramp arms are is in the way

apart from rear axle pulling on air bags ,p38 is easier on a 2 post ramp than earlier model as chassis sits nearer sills

It's the chassis slipping off an arm that is the problem most just have rubber pads with no positive gripping of the chassis. Land rover warn against them and say it is done at your own risk. But it's up to you.

And deffo DO NOT try this method :D
