Help! I don't want to freeze!

As title... :p keep popping fuses in my heater fan - 1989 lr90 - I'm guessing it's shorting out somewhere... Is there anywhere that these are prone to corroding/ damage, that I can check first? Or have I just gotta jump in there with my multimeter and torch? :p

Pop the dash binnacle out and look at the switch wiring, its pretty crap and very exposed to the moving parts of the switch

That's the plan! Was kinda hoping there was a problem spot that I can hone in on. I'll get in the garage this eve with my meter! Cheers! :)

Thanks! I'll pull my dash out later on aswell. :) gonna test motor first as it's less fixings (yeah I'm a lazy basta*d - or 'efficient' as I like to refer to it as ;) )

Dash binnacle is only 4 screws and a pair of long nosed pliers to pop the speedo cable off, if it takes you more than a minute your slacking!

I've been slacking terribly. :p:p Been chopping up this winters wood, bit later than I should have done that to be honest! :D I'll get her in the garage tomorrow after work and pop the dash off (Mine only has 2 screws holding it on anorl!) haha
 
Mine was blowing as well, it turned out to be a seized heater motor, swapped it out with one from on line breakers parts gateway, not too bad to fit.
 
I've deduced that it's definitely the motor, and providing the Mrs doesn't have plans for my evening *wink wink* then I'll be in the garage fixing it! :D Trouble is my landy doesn't quiet fit in the garage so have to do a half in half out job which is a pain. :)

Mine had stopped working as it was full of water. Drain in ducting was blocked with afghan sand letting the water build up. When I fixed it all I did was clean out, spray with wd40 and drill a small additional drain hole in fan box just in-case.
 
Removed all the grills on my wing, emptied out the bath of water in the bottom and cleaned the drain hole. Fan was solid so soaked in wd40 from the back of the motor (just! Required some gentle persuasion of my snorkel attachment on the inner wing - rest of my snorkel is not fitted) and woohoo! It freed up! Spins like a beaut now. If anything it's better than before!!! Thanks again for all the help and advise, as always much appreciated!
