Green laning in warwickshire?

I can do this Sunday, no worries.
Robh, you'll get an idea how scratchy lanes affect your paintjob when you see my D2, lol, it only had a couple of scratches when I bought it.....and a dent in the bonnet. That said, the scratches are the kind of surface scratches would t-cut out easily enough.

I hate to sound like a kill joy but there's a huge problem here- here was a lane that you were unsure about whether there was a TRO in place and your solution was to drive down it and speak to some bikers ( who's knowlege of the legal status of the lane you had no idea about ) . Just imagine if they had given you wrong info because they hadn't got the first clue about closures or they just didn't care. You would have been there in all your glory driving illegally down a byway and just digging the grave of laning just that bit deeper for any passing antis.

If youre in doubt or just don't know ,then do some research- the GLASS reps for Warwickshire is a member here on LZ or ring the local council's ROW officer and check the status - just don't drive it a hope

Out of interest, who is the Warwickshire rep on LZ? I usually check the GLASS website, and also the local council website too if I'm doing a couple of local lanes on my own. But usually, if I'm going further afield, I'm lucky in that one of the guys in one of the clubs I'm in checks on line, phones and also emails to get confirmation in all formats. When we did Snowdonia, we were in touch with GLASS, the local council and the forestry commission.
I'd agree though, it is essential to check the lanes are officially open.

Haven't done most Warwickshire lanes for years. Could do alternative non damaging run from Ironbridge to Church Stretton area if you want. Lanes there are much better quality, more of them and closer together. Leave it with you to decide. I don't mind as my truck is beaten up anyway.

So that we have a date to work to, how do people fancy planning a day out on the lanes next weekend, say, Sunday 4th October? I'm quite happy to let Jacobscreek pick the route as he has a few already. How does this sound to everyone?

Am in Wales tomorrow and out on Sunday 4th already. Have trip to Shrops/Herefordshire on the 11th planned but there's a couple of spaces for cars on that one(11/10). Please let me know quickly if you want to come.

Could do a scenic day the following Sunday around Church Stretton area if you want. Let me know asap so I don't arrange to go somewhere else. Lanes are easy but quality

Would've liked to come on the 11th but busy that day. I've also got plans for the 25th, but the 18th is free, so could do the Church Stretton area.
