all looking good lads...deffo gotta sort out the HK connections in mine, deffo gotta have one of these now!!!

Yes you do! But you'll be last............

I thought I'd give it one last go to get ISO from local shops and again nothing, I could pick up a already wired unit from Ebay and cut off the standard end but that's just going to delay things even more!

Yeah I know :( last as ususal

pity you didn't say you needed the harness adapter, they're about 2 quid at my local audio place, i'd have got one and mailed it to you

if your 2004 and newer it has those type of leads.

now im just trying to get my navigon working on my unit now

what format to i need my sd in ?? fat , fat32 etc..

as when i put the card in the unit it says " no sd card inserted" sugesting it cant read it, but when i browse the sd card in the view mode it can see all the files ?? hmmmmm

lads, a favour please...when you get your original head ubits out any chance of the part numbers please? having mooched around i cannot see that land rover went to any great expense on the hk system and basically has a small amp under the passenger seat and an active sub in the boot so as long as the part numbers are the same i reckon that iso adapter will work and its just a case of the outputs from the head going to the amp first instead of direct to the speakers???? i'm getting a good feeling about this... ;)

Shouldn't need messing with, one of three things, 1 could be the software isn't readable under winc. 2 import units tend to run on slightly dif SD cards than UK, SD HC/DC are what they run on. 3 card your using is to big, some units have size limits.

So tell me what you've got:doh: haha we'll get there in the end!!

Will do....

Have you got a few other cards to try. I'd say you should only be able to see the GPS software in the GPS mode if that helps......

I've just checked my unit and it's got a standard UK SD card in it, however it did come with a SD DC card 1GB and I changed it, I tried a 4 or 8 card and that didn't show the software, so perhaps it's the size of the card..... does your manual state size limits???

I'll check back later, I've gotta watch sum telly wif her who makes me tea!!

God I'm gooooood, Hippo, just checked your unit.

8GB size limit, but does need SD HC card. Loads on Ebay dude.....

found this:

"[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]. SDHC cards are not backwards compatible with standard SD Host devices, however standard SD cards are forward compatible with SDHC host devices"

maybe the cards not the problem

Nothing wrong with your card, it's just Asian market tends to use SD HC cards, where as us in the UK use SD Card.

SD HC items - Get great deals on Photography, Mobile Home Phones items on eBay UK!

They look the same but they're not, you can use upto a 8GB card, so your going to have to buy one of these, but as you will see they are cheap as chips against UK cards!!

Just for reference Wii systems can use either! not that you need to know that:D

Have a look on link and option to view sdhc, don't worry about if it says cannon/casio etc that's just for search info, if you see a good price get it.

Once you have it load your Nav software on and try it, it should see the .EXE file when it's on the right card:)

ok ill give it a go.

hopefully thats all the problem is, they must read in different ways etc.

bloody chinese units lol :p

Oooo forgot yes High Capacity which can come in a range of classes (speed), but it shouldn't be an issue for winc as its only a ittle bit of a opp system....

Tech speaking, SDHC cards are not backwards compat with standard SD devices, however standard SD cards are forward compatible with SDHC devices, so on that basis we can try something.....!

I've set a download away for some more POI etc, but I'll try and set off an upload for Igo as well god knows when it'll be done sometime through the night, once comp I'll message you tomor with share info, then you can download it and try on your current card for peace of mind....! I still think SD HC card is only option but you'll also have Igo for nowt so stop ya bitchin:eek:

Right I've set my upload and downloads away so I'm comin off the net, one it bed time and two things are going to slow down a little now, as you'd expect I've built my own PC but with 9 things on the go what can you expect!!

I'll checkin tomor morning!!
