Fitting a Double Dinn GPS/DVD into dash

My unit is the 2011 Xtrons HD unit with IGO8 Sat Nav software.

It supports steering wheel controls and is fully programmable.
There are 4/5 wires to connect to get it to work.

Not wired in reverse cable as not get reverse camera yet
Not wired in Lumination as Forgot :doh:
Not wired in controls as stuck identifing cables.

I must say I am impressed with the unit even if it does keep telling me that I am speeding

I have changed the Logo screen but can't get it to change again.

Enough of the excuses - The truth is that the wife only gave me 1hr to fit it so ran out of time.....

I will get my camera out and take some piccies of the unit and the Freebie to update my Photo.

What the hell I'm I doing up at this time of Night!!!! Or Morning!! Good work so far Tel, crack on laddo your almost done.

IGO speed control setting haha, I wasn't going to say anything about that, anyhow, turn off warning two ways, one is from within program, open notepad doc called sys and you will see a big list of writing all with titles, these provide the settings, go down until the see sound and change to the following ;dynamic_volume_maxspeed=120 ;dynamic_volume_voicemaxspeed=80 PS this option is via your PC.

Or you can go into advanced on the menu setting when using IGO and turn off speed warnings.

PS Freelanders wheel control wires are: Black/Red, Black/White!

had a quick look at the native discs and they are coming up blank on my pc? i'll rty them in the headrests later but got a feeling they are coasters lol

any chance of that link once the up has finished

and the part number will be appreciated

i'm gonna pick up an iso adapter anyway to do some testing on the hk...

Yep, I'm trying to sort one comp file and a rar depending on what you've got to unpack the attachment...... Still sorting out....

rar is going to take tooooo long to sort, soooooooo I need you to private message me your email gents! I'll send you an invite tonight when I'm back home and on my PC, all you'll have to do is click on link and download, there will be a time limit on this so don't hang around for a few days, sort it tonight as invite will close, file becomes locked and only I can re-activate.

I wouldn't have thought so, they're prob just written via dif platform than yours, I think a lot of the pirates use xp, something about it's better to handle copy software and gets round disk protection better....

If your system can read or opp in compatable modes, try that you might see something then.

That dvd box set should be roughly double din size so just stick that in for now just to win the freddo

tried the game discs on my xp pro machine and still nowt, will try it in the players as soon as the doris gets back with the chariot lol

Are the cables in radio snap connector C ?

If not where can I find them?

Just to confirm that the DVD Handbrake wire should be connected to earth to allow it to work without hand brake on????

Can you not see those wires on your ISO? If they're not in that you've gotta have had something running to the back of your old unit....?

I want to set my Garmin into the centre dash pocket of my Freelander 2 [where an oe satnav would live] and have worked out how to do it. I need to remove the pocket so I can route the power cable behind it. Does anyone know how to get it out please?

Well that's not totally true, I wouldn't pay the cash "over priced" but nice!

Someone will know but perhaps is gonna be faster if you look on other threads or start one of your own
