my mistake, it does respond. 3 codes;
P0801-11 intermittent, reverse inhibit control circuit malfunction
B1B01-55 intermittent, Key transponder
causes - not configured
B100D-87 intermittent, Column lock authorisation
causes - missing message
batt volts too low
CAN network fault
no response from steering column lock module, instrument cluster, central junction box
steering column lock fault

batt volts, unlikely with new battery and its been kept on charge
CAN network fault possible
steering column lock fault, it unlocks when SDD cycles the ignition, so unlikely?

ok did that, it seemed to talk to the BCM but i dont know what much of the values meant.
when i went back to DTC screen there were 4 events;
B10A9-00 RFA J_14229_DTC_B10A9 (intermittent)
- key fobs need reprogramming (i know this bit) (intermittent)
U0140-00 ACM, DDM, PDM lost communication with body control module (intermittent)

i've always had DTC for door modules (door locks) but never had an issue with them

I know we talked about getting the right part number for the fusebox/bcm but i've just seen one on ebay <£100
all the 2010-12 4.4tdv8 ones seem to have the same part number
tempted.. the mileage on the 2nd one is lower than mine

Hi i have a question about how complete a ABS brake bleed with the JLR SDD tool on my 2010 Freelander 2? As i am going to be replacing my ABS module. I have spent a good few hours in the software trying to find it but no luck dose anyone know where it is located or what it is called in the SDD software. The closest i think i have gotten is the brake system menu under complete vehicle data logger but there was nothing under that which suggests a ABS bleed or to activate the pump. Thank you. Im running SDD 165.00

Ok, the fusebox is out, there's not any dust and certainly not and damp/corrosion etc so i assume it's failed/failing.
I pulled each fuse and relay, and everything seemed clean, right and as it should be

I've found a suitable used one on eBay to buy, the mileage is slightly less than my car.

What happens to the VIN number, does SDD sort everything out, do i ignore it, or to i need to send it off to one of the online shops that 'clone' the bcm?

I refitted the bcm earlier, after cleaning up the connectors (even though they looked clean)
SDD reported the current mileage as zero! The mileage on the dash is still correct.
Presume this just further confirms the bcm is duff
