I won't be out tonight, don't trust this turbo an last thing I want is a run away engine... Got a new one coming in a few days so won't be out long...

Good night had by all I think (except Brian, Hope you sorted the issue!)
Went to look at an apparent good donor today. Smoked like a chimney, run rough, and was generally a ****ter. I offered scrap money but they reckon they can still get more, so ill cross that one off the list. Another one to look at this weekend so fingers crossed.
Also picked up some rock sliders, a winch bumper and a steering guard tonight too!

£125 lighter. Doesn't look a lot does it

The belt tensioner bolt pulled out the thread in the block and fell off. :(

I've just found out what my Christmas prezzy will be, and its something for the Landrover that I need. :)

That doesn't sound to great, has it totally stripped the thread? I got a helicoil set if it would help at all??

Well took the 'Fender to my mates workshop last night. Changed front pads, handbrake shoes and master cylinder. Changed the fluid again and bled the system.
Handbrake now works but I still have no foot brakes! Press the pedal and it goes to the floor, couple of pumps and they work properly until you lift off and back on to the pedal.

Next on the list is re-building the front calipers with new pistons and seals.

woohoo, new turbo turned up today, got mine all stripped down ready to bolt it on and guess what, they sent me a disco turbo!! Not happy, on the plus side the defender one is £50 cheaper which is a bonus!

Sounds like the seal in the master cylinder is no good
