Brian /Chris if they come off easy that would be great but if its anything like the one i did then don't want to put you to any trouble. Needs to be later type with track rod end and not the ball joint.
Thanks

Hope the new arm does you good Geoff, should be a straight bolt on.

Anyone up for laning this weekend? Wanna give mine a good try out in some muddy stuff...

what a prick of a landrover!!!
Went to take it for a run tonight so i can start thinking about getting greenlaning soon as i have more spare time and the bastard wont start the starter motor is wizzing but no bloody engagment! so i hit it with a hammer and then also rocked it in gear and bugger all!!! WRONG TIME FOR A NEW STARTER MOTOR!

Take it off open it up clean and grease it, could just be crapped up. if the brushes have gone you can probably get a set off ebay for peanuts.

Was just having a rant! The timing is awful that's all

Well had a chat to my old man and he said if its wizzing and wanting to go but not engaging it sounds like a rusty shaft for the engager! So in gonba get it off and have a look thanks though mate will have a look and see if it's nakered

Here's a question as I'm bored and trying to decide what I want next.

Which would you pick to have as a second car/greenlaner/crap weather hack.

Pre-facelift Discovery II V8 ES or a early facelift P38 V8?

Both come under similar sort of price bracket but I can't decide which one I'd prefer.

Chris I'd go with the disco, p38 is loverly but can be a bastid when the electrics start going wrong, when I had mine and the elecy bits started to go it was time to get rid, also with the v8 you got to watch out for overheating probs and slipped liners lots of money to fix your choice thou mate;)

P38 with the BMW diesel engine... Tuneable, powerful and extremely reliable, will pay for itself in fuel savings very quickly...

Otherwise disco V8, P38's are very pricey to repair when they go wrong, they do look better tho...

Aye, I'm gonna keep my eye on them and TD5's over the next couple of months. Turns out my 3 door has MOT for a few weeks longer than I thought.
Just getting bored of Disco 1's lol

I know someone who'll have the engine.;)

Personaly I'd go for the Disco, P38's are well known for electric's.
I picked up a cheap trailer tonight for camping & the bloke had a P38 stuck on his drive, He got his money back from the garage cos electric's & it's still sitting there 3 weeks later.
