Got the bearings done today with some help from Stu..... or should I say Stu got the bearings done today with some arseing from me :D :D :D Cheers for that mate!

Also found rear roll bar to be fecked and bent up so I'll loose that when I get a chance.

Both swivels filled up to overflowing and front diff oil changed and refilled now. Got to do the rear tomorrow.

I can now focus my mind onto repairing the sills....... I need to order some more welding wire and gas on Tuesday then get the sheet bender out and start making up some parts. I'll leave the rear arches for someone else to weld in as I don't fancy them  And besides, I can't afford to buy them yet

Sliders should be here soon but they won't be able to go on until the sills and done. Light bar is ready to go on but I need some lights :(

Oh, and I need some money

All in all a good days work. I'm off in the shower now!!

Well got the rad in, filled up all fluilds, checked and re-checked all wires, hoses and bolts and had a go and getting it running.
Kept turning over but wouldn't fire. After checking the fuel system it would appear the injector pump isn't working, which is a right chunt as the engine started when it was in the other truck. Also for some reason I'm getting no power to the glow plugs.
Gonna try and make a retaining plate that means I can remove the pump without effecting the engine timing as I'm not taking the fan and rad back off again.
If I can then I will put my old pump on and that should be enough to get it running again, then I can look into why the glow plugs arn't getting power.

Not happy, wanted to have this done today so I could MOT it on tuesday.

Sorry to hear it mate. You should not need to remove so much to set the pump timing. I still have the pins you can borrow to fix the flywheel and pump into position.

See how it goes. If I can make a tool to lock the IP sprocket in place then I don't have to worry about the cam belt. But I reckon my old pump will be out when I fit it.

You lot have been busy!
Chris Hope you get sorted soon.
Matt at least you got your wheels off! - short version: My locking wheel nuts rely on just two pins. These are becoming rounded off and I couldn't get the front wheels off (for the break pads). On Tuesday I'm going to get the garage to replace them. Back pads are rubbing a little

And to top it off just checked the Bures Pit website and next P&P day now shown as 23rd of Oct!!!! What happened to the 8th May???? I was looking forward to that!
Anyone know of any other pay and play sites open on the 8th?

Both still there mate.

Will be trying to sell the interior complete but see how it goes. The bracket should be fine though.

Also got the rear handle for whoever wanted it.

Got another fews days off ahead of me so tomorrows job is to try and make a copy of the LR tool used to lock the IP sprocket in place so I don't have to remove the cam belt.
Then its change the pump for my old one and prey it starts.

Thanks for that!
Is your Disco still drivable?
If so might be worth having some fun in it before its life is ended and without the fear of damaging expensive

Will try and meet up soon to sort the bracket.
Cheers.

It was drivable, but with no tax could not be enjoyed.

Its now undrivable as most of the engine parts are removed.

Just the head to come off now.

If anyone needs any engine bits let me know.

Injector pump sold, and Alternator gone but still have:

Starter motor
Brake Vacuum pump
Power steering pump
Oil pipes
water pump
lift pump
turbo and monifold
decat down pipe
injectors (Refurbed and tested)
new glow plugs
cylinder head

plus all the interior and the rest of the mechanicals.

Checked the timing this morning. Lined the crank pulley to the mark on the timing case then checked the pump. Couldn't fit a drill bit in to lock it.
Odd as I'm pretty sure it was timed correctly when I took the engine out and I didn't touch the cam belt.
Also even if the timing was out it should still pump fuel up to the injectors?
