I just got a tow bar just outside Ipswich, so should pick that up tuesday night now, fit for, friday, then pick my caravan up from storage, as its costing too much now, just got to find somehere to put it now, but will be using that for the Suffolk 4x4, may be able to offer a spare bed if one is required....

can you fit the sankley in the back, :D:D:D

God am I getting ****ed off now!

I thought it'd be a good idea to get the disco up on axle stands ready for the bearings to be done with a hand from stu next week.

Got the Disco back in the rear garden, loosened off wheel nuts and jacked up on front axle. Landy moved back slightly and slipped off jack, which in turn bent the panhard rod :mad

Anyone got a spare one??

Also noticed that the drivers side is sagging about 1" this is also the side that is rattling as I think the bearings have defiantly gone on this side..... is this because the bearings have collapsed? All 3 other corners are fine height-wise

News on ropes from CharlesY. He has sent me this email:

Jack, Ali and I put just over 100 ropes in the trailer yesterday. It's a LOAD! I think we will need to pack it onto a small pallet somehow. Whatever, we are NOT forgetting! We took 100 out of the pile and made no visible impression. There must be 600 or more still there. Charles

I am likely to be leaving for wales on Tuesday some time so if he can send them tomorrow and they arrive in the morning I might have time to give some to Brian if he's about. If not, I'll be back about a week later.

Knock knock knock.......... and its getting worse, turning the radio up isn't helping.
Sounds likes its somewhere near the front. Maybe bearings? seems to be the fashion!

The joke is wearing thin!

Will have to wait as shooting tomorrow (not the Disco  yet......)

No not yet.
Just reading up on it / watching youtube maintenance clips.
What am i looking for, movement / wobble when jacked up?

I'd guess bearings! :p Everyone elses went, then mine went so your's can go now too...... that way it's fair :D

Mine also had a dry grind to it that sounded like a dry potters wheel

once jacked up push and pull at 12 and 6 then 3 and 9 and see if there is any play, spin hub and listen for any unusual noises. changed one the other week for the first time ( with some expert guidance ) quite a straight forward job.
