Lack of pressure from the compressor, probably worn out feeding leaks in your old airbags. Take a look at Wammers guide in the tech archive and check the compressor output.

Have done, their is what I would describe as gentle suction just discernible however when I turned the engine off their was a I can only describe as ‘gasping noises’ coming from the unit....is this normal?

If you had new bags due to leaks has the pump been refurbed as it will have worn, for the cost of a rebuild kit it gives you a known good pump.
have you tried running the car with the door open for a while then trying height changes.

Aye, no difference and trying to manually adjust the ride heights has no,effect.

It sounds like you have a worn pump and possibly a leak in an airline ,
did you undo the blue pipe from pump and put finger over if it did not push your finger off pump seal is worn out.

That the one underneath the pump or the one behind the unit itself itself?
Any idea what can be causing the panting and clicking noise when I turn the engine off?

The click click puff puff when you turn engine of is the self leveling and there should also be a little puft as the pump stops

From what I can see, it looks like you have to take the pump off to check the output but that will have to wait until tomorrow.
Any ideas on the best place to order a replacement pump? As it look to be the direction I’m heading.

I’ll do both, arthritis and white finger means I can’t do anything remotely ‘fiddely’ and replacing the various O rings definitely comes into that category
Though I’m surprised I’m having this particular problem, its only got 68K genuine miles on and according to the crack I shouldn’t be getting this problem until 100k+?

I can also fully refurb your old one so it is as good as new - Thanks for the recommendation Brian :)
How do we do this

Good evening Kurt, how do we go about doing this? I’m on an I pad and for some reason the link Brian supplied isn’t working.
