P38A EAS level confusion

Mark, I agree in the sense that subsequently the (my) car never actually achieved Target after set-up, particularly on the front axle, but at least you know that the Target values are level.

Maybe the bit counts wd all marry up with 4 brand new sensors but my Eas works fine so I haven't splurged on new ones
I was thinking of replacing the front sensors first and the rears when needed. But I'll remove them first and check the readings with a dvm before I jump in. I wouldn't mind but the rears have a tiny bit of play in the arms but remain constant in all heights. Only in low road does it suffer on the front.. My original sensors had worn and were erratic and I got some used ones of my scrapper. 3 yrs older and they did well for a while but I think they've had their day in low road position. ;)

Let me know how you get on. Also, can you record a live trace of your EAS for 5 minutes or more, zip it up and attach it? Be interested to see how yours compares.

I wouldn't touch the height sensors unless they've been off before or you are replacing them. Mine are well and truly rusted into place.

I tried that and plenty of other things that made no difference to result.
I had equal results and stored to target. It was still not hitting the targets on the front. Even after adjusting the rears to force a result from the front readings. When seen in the live data section the front sensor results would flicker up and down from102 down to 99 while the air block was idle.
Did the dowels and the stick and always a inaccurate and unsettled result. :(
The readings as you know should be constant. What you have there is the same as a dodgy volume control on a radio that makes crackling noises as you turn the knob. Dirt on the tracks or worn wipers.

Thats my thoughts also, at different points they are solid but at access they flicker on the front and never at any point on the rears.
@Grrrrrr I'd like to do that but I've no patience for computer things with zip stuff.... Sorry mate.

I meant to say, yesterday, i went through the different height selections and the front seemed 'notchy' when raising, not smooth. Suspension bushes poorly?

The shocks also add resistance to the movement f the suspension, I thought about this on mine as I have the heavy duty shocks, I thought that maybe the shocks could be delaying the reading or messing with its sensitivity..

Sorry to poke me nose in, but have been following this thread in the hope of finding an answer to my eas problem
Just had new airbags fitted last year and it’s been fine.but due to a cooling problem it has only been doing short journeys and now it seems to be struggling to settle on a setting, bottom light (tail gate light constantly on) third light flashing.
However it doesn’t seem to happen when the boot is empty....usually has two big dogs and a wheelchair in.
Any help appreciated.
Sorry, 4.6 petrol (LPGconversion) 2001

Tail-gate light?

You could try going from access to high a few times and check the sensor tracks are clear.
