Door Latch question

I have a north american 99 range with what I believe is a bad drivers(left side) door latch. all symptoms point to that per all posts..

I bought a latch that will fit 00-02 (vin ya430702 and up) range rovers. part number is fqj103290.

I haven't taken my door apart as it is my daily driver and I can't go without fixing it in a day.

I believe that after research they have a different connector than my 99 with vin XA414475.... does somone have a way to adapt my new latch to fit my truck? Or can someone verify if the connect is the same prior to me getting into this?
