Discovery attempts ford in full flood... FAIL!

Saw this today near my house. Apparently he had his wife, 2 children and 2 dogs in it and attempted to cross the ford in full flood (it's actually gone down a bit now). Had to be rescued by Fire brigade (see HERE for full story and video showing the rescue ) eventually. From the bank you can see the kiddy seats in the back! I use this ford in my Defender but it was way beyond even something as heavy as my 110 full of kit at the time he attempted this. It's been pushed about 20 metres beyond the concrete bottom of the ford.

The mentality of some people never fails to amaze me...why would you risk the lives of your loved ones?
 
Why do certain drivers think because they drive a Landy they are infallible in all and any conditions?? It's a Landy for crissake not a fooking submarine :mad:

Haha I know what an exaggeration lol she's 38 weeks pregnant so getting her feet up on the seat wasn't the easiest the photographer who took the pic emailed loads to me I dunno if it was in the actual paper
