Not good.
I'm lucky, I guess. It's mostly bone and muscle damage, most of which repairs, but it's always 'moving' and is so close to the spinal chord that it often presses on the nerves and causes me the grief, hence why stretching and exercising my neck correctly works, and Diclofenac just takes the muscular swelling down! Painkillers, as such, make it worse 'cos I can't feel anything as I move and only make the rubbing and irritation of the nerve worse. Practically there's nothing they can do 'cos of how the bones and muscle attachment points grew back, short of breaking my back/neck again in about 5 places, which carries a certain modicum of risk!
