CD player

I'm in the process fitting a new CD player in my 1999 freelander, does anybody know which wires I should connect to, I have no wiring diagramme and am not sure which is the power wire, swithed power wire etc,etc.

any help much apreceated.

I have just done mine.

One multi plug has four pairs of wires all the same except for the tracers(black lines), these are the speakers.

The other big plug is your power, black=-12v(gnd)

Check the others with a meter,
1. lights on dimmer
2. ignitin live
3. permanent live

thanks, for the help, I've worked out the speaker block but that still leaves me with two blocks? one I guess is the power coming in and one is going to the clock(guessing) can't work out which is which, sorry don't have a meter to check.

Mine has the steering wheel controls i don't know if these are standard or not, but one block has three wires in it and this is to be left alone the other one with 6 wires in it is your power block.

If you aint got a meter get try and find a wiring diagram.
