Can anyone advise on the best airbags for my 1999 p38 please as there seems to b some new ones now since my last change about 6 years ago

Standard Dunlops with a new set of Boge shocks do a fine job. If you want to go up market price wise Arnott GEN II seem to be popular with some. How much better, or if they are really any better i don't know.

Where do you mount the shock's on the steering wheel and dash? Oh, not that sort of airbag.

Thanks for that do u get more life out of the new arnott gen 11 then
I went for standard Dunlops from Island 4x4 best price I could find. Mine were totally ruined, although weirdly didn't leak until a few days before I replaced them. (I say didn't leak, they would hold the car at a preselected ride height for several days however I expect when cornering air was being pushed out of them) However the ride quality and handling have much improved upon replacing them.

Five years on, my Arnott Gen II's still look like new and came with a lifetime warranty, I think the warranty is no longer available though.
Check Arnott's web site, there is a link on LZ in the sponsors forum section.
At the time, mine cost little more than the Dunlops, Dunlops are cheaper now though.

I went for Arnott Gen II's on both P38's but that was when they were giving them lifetime warranty and got a deal on them that was close to the dunlop price.
The arnotts are a little stiffer than the OEM dunlops, but then i am comparing old worn bags with new.
On 2 years and three years on the Arnotts they still feel stiff. not uncomfortable, just slightly firmer.

I reckon the ride is down to your shocks, mine is much more supple on the Arnotts that the old stiff Dunlops that they replaced.
