I took it to the dealer as suspected wheel bearing. As i dont have a press, and etc… Panhard rod, is that not in the front? The stiff rod next to the axle? /antirolbar??

I took it to the dealer so they could get a better look, they have a lift i dont.. Its a nice dealer atleast, i know them so its not some spooky shady people throwing that and that on me.

The car is, undriveable. It will just shake and shake and probably do lots more damage if i were to drive it. Like seriously, my becm shook, and my wipers even frooze on the middle on the windscreen :D

i just find it odd it all goes away turning left! Anyhow, i suppose the dealer is gonna check all the rods etc to check for firmness or looseness
There is a Panhard rod at the rear too.

ok, so if the bushing is bad in thoose, i suppose its a bushing and not some ball joint thingy.. that will create loads of vibration? It is affected by drivetrain speed, not engine rpm, and neither what gear i am in. in my understanding panhard rod is against axle movements sideways yes? Radius arms frontward movements etc..?

Yes the Panhard rod provides axle location against sideways movement, there are rubber bushings at each end.
With such severe vibrations as you describe, I'm still inclined to think it's either a seized UJ or a problem at the front.

Ive had a really bad uj before tho, had no bearings at all.. also greased everyone up after that one went schebang
The prop is not loose atleast.
The workshop will probably call me later and say what it is, so i will update when i know more.

i just didnt have time to do it myself neither capacity and had to get it asap fixed.
If i had a second car i’d tackle this one myself.

i find the issue quite odd as it all dissapears turning left. Anyhow, update you guys lter, in expected a call today ithink

The Tdi disco's had a problem with Panhard rod bolt holes. I had it on mine. The hole the bolts go through become oval shaped after time, you check the bolt for tightness and seems OK but when you get up to a certain speed (61 mph in mine) you get the death wobble. Strip them down completely and thoroughly check bushes bolts and holes

So you can add an elongated hole to your other ailments.;):D:D

Usually when im under the car i grab everything to see if its snug. Which they always seem to be, so dunno.. I find it odd its gone turning left, but the workshop has previously found bad bushings on my audi so i think they are competent enough to figure it oout quickly, even tho they are no LR specialists

Every thing felt snug on my Disco but take the bolts out and check. There was a video on you tube called death wobble on Land Rover or something similar that showed it

Have someone sit in the car and turn the wheel back and forth while you stand in front of the car. Look for car moving from side to side a bit before the front wheels move. That’s a sign of a bad pan hard rod connection. To check bearings and swivels, jack up the front wheel in question and grab the tire at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock and rock it. Then grab the tire at 9 and 3 and rock it. If you feel play at 12 and 6, you have a loose swivel pin and if you feel play at both 12 an 6 and 9and 3 it’s the wheel bearing.

Bad UJ usually felt through the seat rather than the steering wheel and tends to be worse at certain speeds, quite often low, like 25mph.

Higher speed vibration can often be from the rear rather than the front. Wheel bearing can sometimes cause ABS fault.

Sad to say, but the car is going to be turned into nails. Huge hole in differential, left airbag gone, (completly) also, rear left calipper (whole schebang) were missing. It did not leak brake fluid as the hose apparently where clogged up.
Also no panhard rod in the rear.

The workshop also found the rear propshaft to be missing....
I dont know what has happend

Your taking the pi$$, you wouldn't have been able to drive it without the airbag, someone has nicked them, probably crimped the brake pipe so you didn't se the leak.

Holy cow. That sounds like a UJ let go and took out everything else as it flailed around. You must have felt the car drop?

I forgot to add they gave me a quote off 6000£

Ow. Probably parts are harder to get there. Here you could get a used diff or even whole axle off eBay or refurbed off Ashcroft's. Bag isn't a bad job. Panhard rod not that much. But heavy as he to post it all to Norway. What you need is a member on here to gave a roadtrip to Norway. @ovalandrover tends to get aroubd a bit but suspect he's locked in Australia at the moment.

Or buy another and use it for parts.

apparently there were a fiat multipla at the nail processing plant so my rangie werent ready yet
