yes can turn in one handed quite easy using the dizzy drive gear to hold on to.

I agree not my finest hour as an engineer , but it seemed to work. :p

I didnt realise all the bearings were slightly different sizes as I did not fit them myself, so when it was ultra easy to spin when not fully inserted on all bearings its not really a true gauge of how it could be.

1/2lb at 10 inches is a lot less than 5lb so its a vast improvement. I suppose its about 3/4 ftlb in torque terms, thats sound ok?

winner, just need a hand to feck with the rest of it so I dont pull it off the engine stand and I might get somwhere over Christmas then :D

if the woodruff key on the cam is super tight to get in the slot on the cam, am I ok to file it to fit? how tight do I want it- in the past they just fitted but I guess thats landies for ya lol

I take it I am ok to just leave the one in the crank in place where its been so far, no need to change them is there?

Thanks

yeah bugger innit, I ordered a new cam bolt and when it came it was rusty and shorter than the orginal which was zinc plated by the looks of it. I think the old one will go back in lol

same with the cam key, the old one looked better quality, it has a stamped line on its top edge but none on the face iirc I have now filed it for tap in fit although still fairly tight. I noticed in the manual it can only stick out to a max of 31mm including the cam but do I want it to tap all the way down to the bottom of the recess int he cam? if so a bit more filing may be needed

sweet, seems odd it dont have t go all the way in and it still needs a gap on top for the oil feed, lol they have left clearance on both sides lol
