Hi,
I’d hoped to be on here today posting about how I finally understood and solved an EAS problem which I will do, however, while flushed with the success of that, my 2003 L322 decided to ‘reward’ me for being so smug.
In the way into work, and in need of some fuel, I’d stopped for a quick splash and dash to get me into the big smoke. Printed the pump, was all ready to go and then boom !
The fuel flap wouldn’t open.
On closer examination, none of the other doors were unlocking correctly whether I tried using the remote unlock or popped the key in the door barrel.
Pressing the central locking switch gives a reassuring ‘clunk’ but the wee lockmindicator things do not move in any direction nor does the fuel flap release.
After a spot of mild panic, and frantic googling, I found the manual release by the rear fusebox which let me at least get some juice into the tank but I’m still a bit puzzled by my issue.
That it’s all the doors would seem to point to something ‘collective’ rather than an individual actuator but Gap IID doesn’t seem to find any errors -I can’t activate the locks from there either except for the drivers door.
Do any of you fine folks have any idea what this might be ? -a relay perhaps ? -although odd that the locks ‘clunk’ at all….
Has the BCM just got itself into an ankle and needs resetting ?
Any thoughts very welcome
Thanks agajn
Bob
