.... that contrary to expectations all went well.
We got the old gal in the car bang on 09:15 and I got them to the hospital at 09:50 for the 10AM appointment.
The wheelchair was a godsend and made it so much easier at the hospital end of things.
The old gal had a debridement procedure with some gas & air anaesthetic to help with the pain.
And..... she has another appointment NEXT week.

Wife now trimming the dog's coat. She is the equivalent of the princess and the pea (the dog I mean) when it comes to this sort of thing, plus W doesn't want her trimmed with the strimmer, so she will be there for a long time. Doing it with scissors.

Rang up the GP for an appt for W. Managed to get one for a week tomoz, not bad compared to my practice in the UK.
The preamble on the phone covered various options including one that said, in a very clear fashion, that if you weren't already on their books, then go away.

French GPs in even only relatively countrified areas are a rarity now.

In a little while I will carry on the search for the old blade for the brush-cutter/mulcher, so that I can modify it into a plain brush cutter. The weeds being thigh high, us having come over here later than usual, plus it having rained like the "vache qui p!**e" for ages.

Turning out to be a sunny day, been putting the sheer back on the machine, hopefully get to destroy somit this afternoon.

Cut most of the car park and moved the vehicles around so it looks decent. Hot work today.
Might do a bit more afore coming in for home made chicken and mushroom pie.
Frogs don't do pies, they don't know what they are missing!

Dog looks very neat and cannot stop running around showing off!

Wot a busy day! (Well, "day" for a retired bloke, a short day for a worker). Was putting the valve timing gear into me bike injun, and the valve train was making a lot of rattle / clacking noise. Investigations narrowed the cause down to an intermediate timing wheel which was clacking every time a valve closed. It took a lot of fiddly work to dismantle and reassemble it all several times until the culprit was pinpointed. Took one from a spare engine and the rattle disappeared when it was put in the bike engine.

Funny you should say that no pies here either !! But the village's now ask when are we going to make some more , thay love the chicken and leek and the chicken and ham but the favourite is the game pie
