Freelander 1 L Series Diesel Parts Question ?

Hi Guys,

Hope someone can help, car just had a MOT, they said i will need a new Center Engine Mount ? i think they said its called a Stabalizer /Dogbone ? and a New fuel tank strap as mines rusty and fuel tank is a bit loose.

Does anyone have any idea what parts the stablalizer is ? im kinda lost

There are lots of threads on here about the 'center engine mount'. Its a tie bar that bolts between the subframe and the IRD bracket which itself is bolted to the engine. There are a couple of types (IIRC rounded and hexagonal ends being the most notable difference). There is also chat about just replacing the bush(es) in them.

There are also lots of threads on here about replacing or repairing the fuel tank cradles. A search here (top left) or on Google with a reference to LZ will find them (Google is a much better search and more likely to find them).

Thx for the reply but I wasn’t asking about fitting etc just how to identify what I need for my exact model as I have an older 1999 L Series Disel with the Rover Engine and where I may be able to find the parts.
